I started some of the stuff on my list.  I took photos on Saturday and Sunday toward my 365 project.  I'll likely load them up later today and post them here.  I've got to find the cord to my camera.

I did not have it on my list, but we did paint the chest of drawers I bought for the baby.  It's a nice Sage Pastel now.  I think it's pretty.  It's ( Read more... )

Tell me about it. I am the bloody queen of self-doubt. What's funny is that I've started to worry that I have too many easy things on my list. There are so many that I just haven't found the time for or don't normally bother doing that I feel like I'm flying through and in two months time I'll be left with nothing but the repeating tasks and the near impossible.

That's okay, though. I just started one of the trudge tasks that may take a while. That should help slow me down.

I'm glad Ethan's excited about his allowance. Mine always wants the money, but has never been enthusiastic about the chores he needs to do to get paid. It's hard to get him motivated. He'll adapt to anything, including deprivation. "It's awesome! I must have it! I'll die without it! You won't buy it for me? I have to earn the money? Work? Meh. I didn't want it that badly. Never mind."

I'm trying to think long term. That I have YEARS to complete these things, taking tiny steps to get there. It's not easy.

I hope Ethan's stays motivated. I'll be glad to move on from the "stuff you should be doing without being paid and reminded 80 million times" and onto things that are substantial. All in due time.
