Late late late!

Ken was never late. He hated being late. He would be in so much trouble if he was still in school right now. Thankfully, he wasn't, but he could never quite shut down that urge he had to be perfect. He wasn't as good as it as he used to be...but he couldn't help but try.

"Daisuke! Hey!" he cried, running up to the entrance and catching his breath. "Sorry, I had to get here from work. You brought Mustachio too?" he asked lightly, noticing the crab on his friend's hand.

Daisuke perked and waved happily. "Hey Ken!" He said with a bright smile. "Eh? It's fine! Hikari-chan isn't here yet! Ah? Yeah! I thought he would enjoy it! I don't think he likes being cooped up in the apartment all day. And I'm pretty sure if I didn't bring him he would've found a way to hide my l33tpod in the sand like he did the last time.."

Ack! She was running late! This is what I get for staying up late last night and taking a nap in the middle of the day.. The young girl thought, eagerly running down the streets to get to her closest friends on the island. She had her camera tucked away in her pocket thinking for the moment it would be better protected there.

Brown eyes soon spotted two familiar faces near the carnival entrance. She waved a hand in the air as her run came to a slow jog. "Sorry for being late..." she panted, catching her breath for a moment. A sheepish smile came across her face. "My nap lasted longer than I would've liked.." she explained. Her eyes soon fell on the cute crab that liked to follow Daisuke around.

"You brought him along?" she asked, smiling at the cute ocean creature.

"I doubt anyone wants to stay in the apartments all day," Ken replied lightly. "Maybe you could put a light on your L337Pod to find it if he does that again-"

Hikari's entrance interrupted him, and he smiled slightly at her. "It's okay, Hikari-chan, I was late too," Ken said with a shrug.

Hikari merely chuckled at Ken and Daisuke. She didn't mind honestly. Though truth be told...she also wanted to stay off the ride so she could snap pictures of the two boys making funny faces as they screamed on the roller coaster. But Ken was right, they could worry about it later.

"Alright, alright." she added as they entered the fun house. There were mirrors of all shapes and sizes. She brought her hand to cover her mouth as she laughed at Daisuke.

"You do, though to complete the look you'll need to be green. Do you want me to find green paint?" she teased as she went up to a different mirror that made her look like a dwaf. "Haha, hey guys look! Mini me!"

Daisuke chuckled and shook his head. "Nahh, I think I'll pass on the green paint."

Daisuke turned to look his head and smiled. "Chibi-Hikari!" Daisuke giggled.

Ken shook his head, hiding his slight smile with his hand. "I dunno Daisuke, you need bigger teeth for that. Maybe if you but Mustachio on your lip?" he suggested lightly. Hikari's just made him laugh softly.

The other mirrors were distracting, changing Ken's reflection to every shape and size as he walked deeper inside. One in particular made him stop. "Guys..this one makes me look like a alien," he remarked, turning slightly.

Daisuke giggled as he attempted putting Mustachio on his lips. "Naww, it still looks weird!"

Daisuke turned around and laughed. "Hey! It kinda does make you look like an alien~ Aliennn!" Daisuke giggled.
