Somehow he was managing to stave off the heavier part of sickness. Taking care of Yuuki hadn't been helping him at all, exposing him to germs constantly. But at least with everyone's suggestions and Yuugi's usual helpful ways, he had managed to keep it to sniffling and a few occasional coughing spells (which ended up in having a raw throat, but it was miles better than having a high fever and vomiting).

This whole thing was risky, and he wasn't sure what anyone's reaction would be to it once they found out. Kaiba's, especially. Or Yuugi's. But his powers were... not suited for quick fire situations. He thought maybe it really would be better for him to learn something modern. For once.

When Cissnei had come in, he was shuffling things around in the backroom. When he heard her, he put down a bag of sod and walked out to the front of the store. "I'm-"

Finally he was getting to see a statue first hand.

It was not hard to miss the surprised look on his face at seeing her and the statue. Besides that strange face and those eyes, it's wearing her old uniform--Not that Atem would understand the significance of that, but perhaps her first wariness of it would be understood.

"Ignore it," Cissnei stated calmly, if not a little curt before moving further into the store and changing the subject. "Unfortunately I was unable to find the materials I needed to synthesize to cure ailments. Flan goo is hard to find when the monster doesn't exist here." She offered the other a smile, setting her case on the register desk and directing a look at Atem.

"Are you ready to go, or do you need more time here?"

Yuugi had been right. Those statues were very unsettling to look at. Although it still held true, it seemed, that they weren't aggressive. It still made him almost reconsider his stance on recent holiday dismissal. Almost.

He lifted his eyes from the statue towards Cissnei. "It's alright. Everyone's suggestions are at least helping Yuuki." And she was the main concern to him of course. His own health was second at best, ignored completely at worst.

Nodding once, he stepped away from behind the counter. "Ready as I'll ever be."

Ah, so that was who this had been all about. She is not so surprised, and just nods to his words. "I see. If anything comes up though, feel free to let me know." She couldn't heal colds, but maybe there was something else that she could do to help.

Picking the bag back up, Cissnei starts out the door, waving vauegly for the other to follow after her. "You still have that workbench outside behind the building, right?" She called to him as they stepped out and headed around back. With the forest and water surrounding the town, it would be easy to spot people coming and, of course, have targets in monsters and trees. Cissnei isn't worried about that at the moment however, she still had things to teach the other before she even handed it to him.
