Usagi was finishing her errands in town. She needed to go into work and buy groceries for the rest of the week. Maybe for the rest of the day she could stay in her room and eat a carton of ice cream or find out if any of her friends were free, but for now she needed to make her way back to her apartment. Sadly, the task was easier said than done. Usagi's original plan was to get some bread, toothpaste and other food stuffs. However she was hit with a wave of nostalgia ( ... )

The sound of another person's voice startled Kisara, and she jumped up from where she was sitting. Someone else was here! She wondered if she should hide and wait to see who it was, or if they were dangerous, but the voice she heard sounded like a young woman. Maybe she would know something about this place... she wasn't going to get any answers by not talking to people, so Kisara stepped forward, hoping to approach the other person without startling her.

Or at least, that was her plan until a stray lemon rolled into her foot. "... Huh?" Kisara knelt down to pick it up, rolling it over in her hands, examining it. This was a fruit, wasn't it? When she looked up, she noticed there were more of them scattered about, so she began to pick them up one-by-one.

Usagi began to pick up her lemons, one by one, internally cursing them and their...roundness. At least I'm not using oranges, then I would never be able to find them... Sighing to herself, she bent down once more and picked up another yellow fruit, placing it in her bag.

Looking up she saw another person, a girl by the look of it, gathering p some of her things. An embarrassed blush came over her cheeks.

"A-ah! Thank you!" Usagi called out, quickly getting up to go to the other person.

"I think it was a buy idea to buy so many lemons at one time, but thank you!"

Kisara turned around, hair whirling about, to see a girl running up to her. Was this the person she heard calling out earlier? She was carrying a bag of some sort ─ when she came closer, Kisara saw that it was full of the same fruit she was holding. "These are yours?" she asked hesitantly, holding them out to the other girl so she could place them in the bag. "I'm sorry, I saw them lying there... but I wasn't going to steal them, I promise!"

There were still a lot of things on his mind. What to do with Larxene? Had Kaiba been right? Should he just do away with her? Would locking her up keep her at bay? He'd visited the jail a few off-handed times just to ease his own unstable feelings about the situation. He was starting to see why Cissnei had not wanted anything to do with it ( ... )

After a moment of indecisiveness, Kisara decided she should go and look around. From where she was, she didn't see anyone walking around, so now seemed like an ideal time for her to slip in unnoticed. She thought there must be people living here if there were buildings, but she didn't know what kind of people they were or how they would react to her, so perhaps it was a good thing that she hadn't seen anyone yet.

With that in mind, she got to her feet and started to cautiously walk forward, her eyes wide as she eyed the modern terrain in front of her. However, looking straight ahead meant that she failed to notice Atem standing there and continued her pace, unaware of the turmoil he was feeling.

It was a good thing she hadn't noticed him. For some unknown reason to him, his hands went to his jacket's zipper. Despite the heat of the island's summer, he brought the jacket to a close, effectively masking his puzzle from her sight. He had no idea why he'd done it; perhaps out of guilt over what happened to her.

He wasn't that familiar with the girl- in fact thinking about it, he wasn't too sure he even knew her name. But he definitely knew who she was, knew of her, knew her relationship with his Priest. ...his Priest. ..Oh, Kaiba was not going to be happy about this.

"Excuse me," Atem finally spoke up, taking a few steps towards her. Would she know him? Recognize him? Why was he trying to hide anyway? He was confused as to his own actions, but when he reacted quickly, it was usually best. "Are you alright?"

She froze when she heard Atem address her and turned around quickly, looking rather like a deer caught in someone's headlights. "I'm sorry!" she blurted out, thinking he must be there to yell at her for getting too close to the town. It was instinct by now, even though apologizing rarely worked with the people of the villages she had traveled through ( ... )

Kaiba Seto was bleeding. Bleeding internally for the fourth time, in a place he couldn't reach to bandage over. He might have done better if he had stayed with Atem this morning, but no, nothing would keep him from going to work or checking the NETWORK once he got there. No matter how he steeled himself for it, how used to it he was, how many times he reassured himself that Mokuba was better off at home, it was like a blow to see that familiar L337Pod signature gone ( ... )

Kisara could hear the gunshots from where she was, and she was, to say the least, definitely spooked. She scrambled to her feet and ran behind a nearby tree, using it for cover as she peered around the trunk for a glimpse of something in the forest. What were those sounds? So loud, almost like an explosion. What could have made them ( ... )

The voice made Kaiba freeze. Who would dare call him Seto? Atem knew better than to scream out his first name like that, and it wasn't his voice anyway. No...this one was familiar..he just couldn't put his finger on it..

Mokuba's golden retriever lifted its head and wagged its tail slightly at the girl coming nearer. Kaiba, by contrast, looked panicked. That hair...he knew it too. He knew all of it, and outside of the Priest himself, this was the cruelest thing the Island could have done. His brother...in exchange for this?!

Immediately the gun was up and aimed right at her head. It wouldn't do him any good to shoot her, but it certainly would be satisfying. Kaiba weighed the options as he spoke, his tone like ice.

"Call that name again, and you will lose your ability to speak. He's long gone, good riddance to it."

She halted mid-run when she realized her mistake. This person before her... he wasn't the priest she knew. He looked enough like him, but he was different, almost wrong somehow. "I'm sorry," she said quickly. "I thought you were... someone else." Déjà vu pricked at her mind as she spoke; it wasn't just his resemblance to Seto ─ he looked familiar to her. Hadn't she seen him before? Not too long ago, in an alley, when she was looking for Seto. At the time, she had been in too much of a hurry to give him much thought, but now that she was meeting him for the second time, she found that she had a lot of questions she'd like to ask ( ... )

Kagome was coming out of the forest to head back into town when she saw a girl who she had never seen before. She knew most if not everone on Salkia so a new face stuck out like a sore thumb.

She walked over and offered her a smile.

"Hello! My name is Kagome and you must be new to Salkia!"

[ooc: Hello! I'm sorry I didn't respond to your intro post so I decided to introduce myself here plus yeah i'm lazy. Kagome's energetic welcome was a shock to Kisara, and she hung back, unsure about this new person. She seemed very friendly, and Kisara hoped she was a nice person. "... Hello," she offered quietly.

( Hi! That's okay; it's nice to meet you, Lauren, and thank you for the welcome! Thank you for letting me know about Larxene's permission post, too! I'll fit it out later. (: )

She looked concerned slightly as the other girl hung back. Kneeling down, so she wasn't towering over the other girl. "Its okay, I'm not gong to hurt you. Most of the people are nice on Salkia...there's Atem and Usagi...they are both very kind. Don't worry! I"m sure you will be just fine!"

She could believe that Kagome wasn't going to hurt her ─ Kisara couldn't imagine the girl before her hurting anyone ─ so she nodded, saying, "All right. Ah... thank you." She was rather confused, though; what was an Atem or an Usagi? And Salkia? "Is this place named Salkia?"

Heck was busy wandering around and spying on others as per usual when he noticed someone that he has not seen or heard about on the island. Scratching his chin a bit he decided to try and tail her. After all new comers are always big news to him and he always did love it whenever he got a chance to jump someone.

Even if it was just to get a scare out of her. Things could get fairly dull around the island and he needed to have some fun. Otherwise who knows what he might do. Plus it wasn't like he had any plans on hurting anyone so far. There was no need for that at the moment and Heck has found it best to try and lay low in this new environment for a little while. Which is another reason why he was trying to tail her.

Kisara had no idea that she was being watched, absorbed in her own thoughts as she was. She decided that, since she didn't see anyone around, maybe now would be a good time for her to look around this strange new place, so she picked herself off of the ground and began to walk forwards, sometimes stopping to lean on a tree for support. She still felt a bit tired, but mostly she was very, very confused.

He crossed his arms impatiently and decided it best to try and scare. With this thought in mind he tried to quietly approach her from behind. Getting a small grin on his face he readied his hands to clap above her head and see if he can startle her that way.

She didn't hear him approaching; rather, she was still under the impression that there wasn't anyone around, and that she was alone in this place. While she was trying to keep an eye out for another person, she didn't think to look behind her, and so she kept going.
