Preston was probably one of the only teachers that Kenpachi could stand for the entire time of a single class. Though occasionally even the two would have exchanges that might have been a bit crude. Kenpachi had managed to pull of a low B so far with the help of Neji and a few other tutors that had helped him and 'proofread' his papers. Walking in the door just as the bell rang, and with his own bells making a small jingle as he tossed the bag onto the desk and turned around to grab a paper, "Heh, 'bout time we were done with this."
Oh look who decided to show up at the last possible second. Mentally Preston wondered if he should yell at him for nearly coming to class late. But decided that it would not only be useless, but it was also against his character. And so he stayed silent and leaned down to whisper to Kenpachi what his assignment is.
"Tch, that it?" It wasn't quite what Kenpachi was expecting based on what he had heard and what the other teachers had been assigning as final projects and expecting from them. Frankly it pissed Kenpachi off when all the teachers seemed to get together and plan the worse possible torture to call finals.
Final assignments. The words alone was enough to scare Kisshu away. He had already been late for class and now he was standing in line, desperatly trying to remember what he had learned with Kagome. And even more desperatly trying to forget about other things for now. And the most desperately he wondered why he didn't have anything to cheat with in the test.
He looked at Kisshu as he came up next in line and handed him his assignment. As he did this, Preston leaned down to tell him what his assignment was going to be. "You have to write an alternate ending on how Romeo and Juliet could have ended."
Romeo and Juliet. "Shit", he said quietly, going back to his place. After a while he started to write. In his version Romeo received the letter, knew that Juliet was alive and they left the city together. The families blamed each other's child and started a big fight. Most people died during it.
Okay, this shouldn't be hard at all, right? No she was managing good grades in this class to start with. And When it was Cissnei's turn in line, she looked rather relaxed.
He grabbed one of the papers from the stack, and leaned down to whisper what her assignment was. After all he was still trying to keep with the secrecy. "You're assignment will be to write a gothic poem."
Naturally she walked in, unimpressed, with Mr. Marlowe and the way he treated his students.
If he didn't want them to be bored to slumber, then he should make the class more interesting. Well, here's good luck for her assignment, she shot Mr. Marlowe a cold look before taking a seat.
As she came next in line, he took out another paper from his stack. He honestly was just choosing them at random for each of his students. But nobody needed to know about that. Once again he leaned down to whisper what her assignment is. "You're going to create a parody of The Taming of the Shrew."
She traced fingers over the blank of her page. Her mind an instant blank as he whispered her assignment. She took in a deep breath, catching her candy-cotton body mist in her nose and closing her eyes with the thought of William Shakespeare and all his glory. Of course Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and a Midnight Summer's Eve, came to mind. But she got The Taming of the Shrew. Which Mr. Marlowe even, at some point during the duration of the class, had brushed over with some different adaptations - one of them being 10 Things I Hate About You - the movie with that very handsome Heath Ledger.
Anyhow, her fingers curled and reached for her pen to begin her assignment. A soft hum escaping her lips.
