When he noticed Shikamaru's other hand moving towards his pouch, his shoulders tensed ever so slightly, hands tightening a bit more. He quickly removed one hand from the handle of his sword and twisted the blade a certain way, pushing just enough to give himself a little more room to move back.

Once he did that, Neji yanked his weapon down and pushed off of the tree limb, landing on another branch above the other nin.

Shikamaru looked up, excellent, this was most definitely perfect timing at it's prime. He sheathed his sword momentarily and brought his hands up to preform and complete the hand seals he would need for his shadow technique.

As soon as Shikamaru sheathed his weapon, Neji's byakugan flared to life, his hand tightening on his own sword again. He moved almost too quickly, jumping up to another tree branch and slicing the previous one he had been on in an attempt to hit the other ninja with it.

Kagome stands silent and ready. Her eyes move constantly as she waits. Atem had mentioned something about the family and good guys fighting tonight so Kagome was waiting. Her body seems relaxed as she remains still and alert. Her bow is in her right hand and her quiver of arrows around her shoulder.

She did not want to go back to her regular self, to face the consequences of what she wants to do. She likes the feelings of evil coursing through her veins and her memories being erased.

She is determined not to go back to how her past self. She growled softly and became even more determined not to lose herself! Queen Serenity! She will not fail!
