That call, that call. Cissnei could feel it coursing though her, now that she had regained some control over her body. Yes the crystals still pushed against her will and pushed it down, attempting to drown her out and pull her in the direction of where the call was coming from.

Maybe...if she played along, this would be her chance.

Cissnei's feet touched the ground with a quiet noise behind Serenity, and she stood still and without any movement that would indicate anything other than loyalty...though she wasn't quite exuding that, either.

Serenity didn't move, did not make a sound, she merely listened for anything that could come her way. While she heard nothing she felt the wind shift a little to indicate there was someone behind her. She didn't need to think twice about who it was. Whirling on her heel she backhanded the red head.

"You have disobeyed me, Songbird. Care to explain why?"

Her head was turned aside at the force of the slap, red already marking where it had happened. After a long moment she looked back at the other, inwardly seething but schooling her features in ways she hadn't in quite a long time to hide how she truly felt.

Instead, she merely dropped to a knee to kneel before the other, head bowing down.

the dark queen watched the red head, examining her until she saw the way her arm looked. The glove was gone and there were wounds where there shouldn't be. An ambush then? She knew there were those trying to destroy her, but taking away her pet? Her enemies would surely pay.

"Rise," she ordered, cupping Cissnei's chin in her hand to make the red head stand. She looked into the other woman's eyes for a moment before she let go of her chin.

"Someone tried to clip your wings...my poor little Songbird..." she sounded sincere, concern even as her fingers brushed over Cissnei's wounds.

"Let me make it better.."

Even without the collar, he could feel that small tug of darkness within him. He wanted to resist, stay where Shikamaru would be able to stop him if he tried to sneak away, but he just couldn't.

So, while Shikamaru was asleep on the couch, Neji crept into his room and slipped out of the window, deciding to just leave it open to reduce the noise. He rushed towards the call, using his flash step to go even faster at times when his chakra would have a sudden, small burst.

Once he reached where Serenity was, Neji stopped suddenly, trying to resist the urge, but he ended up revealing himself before he could stop completely.

Serenity waited for either of her pets to come and the moment she had one in her sights she frowned. There was Neji...without his collar. The last time she spoke to him he told her he would be back. Perhaps she should've disciplined her pets before she let them roam around.

"What. Happened." it was a statement. She wanted answers before she punished his disobedience.

Of course, Neji hadn't thought about picking up the collar and perhaps making it look like he was still under her control. It, along with any other idea, had slipped his mind completely.
