Who: Szayel and Rukia What: After Renji's accidental video post, Szayel plots~ Where: The streets When: Night Warnings: Probably the usual Szayel warnings, but maybe not; depends on what happens.
Because of what happened to Ichigo and what Renji told her, she was sensitive to his reiatsu now. Of course, the group had all intentions of meeting but it seemed that well, doing so would take some time. The slightest spike in the Espada's reiatsu and she knew he was there.
She was alone in this. Both Neji and Renji turned her back to her. The others, well they planned to meet, but now wasn't the time. Of course, Rukia was going to take precautions. She knew how dangerous he could be and wasn't going to take any reckless chances. Although, going alone might have been one. But perhaps she was the most level headed out out of the group to do something like this. But then again, she wasn't in her right mind either.
The shingami slipped out her home and made her way towards Szayel. She masked her own reiatsu, observing him from a good distance so she wouldn't be detected.
"Obviously, I can't allow it. And it is something you absolutely need? The island works in strange ways." As far as she knew, he hadn't been taken any souls, so why suddenly bring this up now?
Szayel's hand suddenly snapped out, grabbing for her throat, but his grip was light, and easy for her to escape from if he hadn't startled her too much. Still, he leaned in close, a wicked and twisted smirk on his face.
"I didn't say I was fighting, now did I?" he replied, before suddenly forcing his lips over hers. Instead of a real kiss, though, he inhaled, breathing her soul into his mouth.
The instant their lips touched, Rukia felt disgusted. In sight of losing her breath, there was a moment of shock before she pushed him away. A flash step back and she was a good distance away. The shinigami wiped her lips with the back of her sleeve. Damn, just from that she could feel the effects. Thankfully, they were small.
If Szayel was disappointed by her retreat, he didn't show it. Instead he remained quiet for once, hungrily licking his lips as a predatory grin spread across his face.
Sure, the likes of a hollow. Feeding on human and shinigami souls alike.
No one was safe, not even in Salkia.
This was a new problem that came to light and now... How would they deal with this? Death meant nothing and sure, it might have been okay for him to go sucking souls since they'll come back anyway, but that was besides the point (not to mention that it wasn't okay). Killing him or him killing people, either way, wouldn't be justified.
"You were an utter fool to even think that you could," Szayel replied dismissively, reaching up to adjust his glasses. "The need for souls aside, I have no interest in cooperating with you fools to begin with."
He held out a hand, a smirk on his face as he slowly curled his fingers into a fist.
"I see," the determined look on Rukia's face never fading. "Well, that is all I came here for." And such as the enemy he was, the shinigami didn't care turn her back to him. She fazed out in a flash step, her reiatsu becoming undetectable.
Szayel quashed his own when he felt her's fade away, an amused smirk on his face. He thought to go after her... but no. There would be other opportunities. Besides... he licked his lips again, letting out a faint sigh.
"Delicious..." he murmured. He would savor the taste of her soul... no matter how long it took to get it.

"Try that again and I'll be forced to retaliate."

Clearly, yes, he did need souls to survive...

"So we cannot work things out then?"

"My only interest is research. Nothing more."
