The brunet landed on another tree branch, easily balancing himself on the slender limb, pale eyes examining the area. He already had his byakugan activated and was using it to seek out the `fake` prince. It wasn't like his energy was hard to miss though.

His eyes narrowed when he sensed it, hands curling around the tree branch before he lunged off, landing silently in the snow. He wasn't worried about covering his tracks, now that he knew where the other was. Part of him was expecting Belphegor to make his search a little harder, but then the other half reminded him of who he was dealing with.

Once he reached him, he stopped and instantly looked up, a small smirk crossing his own face at his earlier thoughts.

Belphegor glanced down with his arms crossed. He let a small, throaty laugh escape as he took a moment to place Neji in the environment and form the best plan of attack. It had been awhile since he had put so much thought into a fight- Rasiel aside, and that had been a group effort. But this guy was persistent, he knew that much.

He noticed Neji wasn't wearing his tiara, and he felt a tinge of irritation shift though his posture. After all, he had been looking forward to prying it off his bloody corpse in a true victory.

But no, this guy had to be fucking difficult, until the end. Belphegor figured that at least that would make killing him even more fun. "I'm going to enjoy this," he laughed. The flames on his storm mink grew brighter in the cold air, and he readied his knives.

Hearing that laugh made his fingers twitch in annoyance, but he flicked them in order to make the digits stop. He continued to glare up at the other male, shifting his stance to a defensive one. With Belphegor up so high, he would most likely take advantage and Neji had to be ready for anything.

Those words made his smirk widen, pale lilac eyes practically glowing now. He blinked the snowflakes off his eyelashes and moved back a few steps, keeping his guard up.

After he was sure that he was ready, Neji let out a quiet noise of approval and nodded to show his agreement. ``As will I,`` he responded, still watching Belphegor closely, awaiting his next move.
