Syaoran was new in town. He managed to arrive here just earlier on during the breezy morning. All though slightly shocked to find out he was separated from his travelling party, he knew that standing around worrying wouldn't solve anything. He was thankful for the people who gave him basic information he could start with ( ... )

Aerith peeked out from around a tree, green eyes sparkling mischievously. Syaoran really was as sweet looking as he had sounded on her LP. She was secretly relieved at this. Above all else, Aerith wanted to make new friends. Midgar had always been so loud and unfriendly. Part of her was glad to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but the other part missed her adoptive mother very much.

And, in order to not feel so alone, Aerith knew that she needed to make friends with as many people as possible. She had already made some wonderful connections with Yamato, Cloud, Tifa and Jing, but even she had to admit that she was greedy and needy when it came to having a lot of friends.

"Welcome." she stepped into plain view, beaming at the boy, "I see you found your way all right." she extended a white iris to him, "I hope you're comfortable here."

She could adjust the temperature around the garden if need be, but that would only happen if he said he was too hot or too cold.

Syaoran was lightly startled by the voice since he was also partially spacing out by staring at the large sea of color, he managed a light turn towards where the voice originated from and saw the girl he was looking for.

"A-ah," he was trying to catch his breath, so he only uttered a light reaction at first. Then he eventually managed it and smiled towards Aerith brightly, "Hai... It's more beautiful than I imagined."

He noticed the white iris he was being offered and gratefully took it with two hands in a polite and modest way, "My name is Syaoran. Thank you for letting me stay here."

"Thank you!" Aerith giggled and peered into his face playfully, "I'm happy you're here, Syaoran. You can stay as long as you want." and she meant that.

If someone ever forced him out, it wouldn't be Aerith. She liked using her garden as a haven. Besides, it was getting cold. She didn't like the idea of Syaoran shivering somewhere, feeling alone.

"But while you're staying here, maybe you can help me pick out what I should plant next?" she turned towards the plants, frowning thoughtfully, "I love flowers, but I should plant useful things too."
