Kairi was out doing some shopping of her own since she was supposed to host a dinner with her friends. It was...comforting to know everyone she cared about was on the island. Everything was going really well! Except...well...after much consideration and thinking...she couldn't really serve take out for dinner.

Even if the Chinese place was really, really good.

The first order of business was buying a cookbook which was done with ease. Alice had offered to make something, but she told the blonde girl no. She had done a lot already with her baking and such, now it was Kairi's turn to do something.

Which was why she was at the grocers with a beige bag on her arm with her cook book in there. She had already flagged a few recipes down and wanted to buy the ingredients that went with them. Spotting a similar figure she blinked. It was Leon!

"Hey!" she called, quickening her step a little to catch up to the taller brunette.

"I didn't know you were going shopping today. How are you?" she asked, a smile on her face.

He turned at the familiar voice, dark blue eyes lightening a bit to see Kairi approaching, a grin on her young face. "Hey." Leon shrugged. "Nothing edible in our house. Thought I'd see what was available."

Ever the enigmatic, he glanced in her bag and quirked an eyebrow to see the cookbook inside. "Looking for things for supper?"

A small pink tinge colored her cheeks. Did he really have to peek inside her little tote bag? Kairi looked away for a moment before her smile turned sheepish.

"Kindda...I'm still brainstorming for what we should eat." The auburn girl replied, walking with him.

"If you needed something you should've told me. I could've got it for you since I was on my here anyway."

LOL, good God. That's a lot of Yuffies.

He couldn't help but chuckle. "Hey, that's all right. I'm good with whatever, like I said."

Continuing on, he gazed at the shops and stores, committing them to memory. "That's okay. Sora burned the macaroni and cheese, so I needed some fresh air." He shook his head with a smile and lapsed into silence once more.

Receiving two hundred monies for apparently no reason seems strange to Kisa, but she knows exactly what she wants to do with it. There's a tall boy in the basement now, and she's sure he must be hungry.

It's this that leads Kisa to the grocery store.

She goes quietly ( of course ), and doesn't ask Kyo ( he might get mad ), or Sora ( he might think it's weird. ). Kisa's young, naive. Of course, everyone probably needs food, but she can't stop thinking that Yoite must be very alone and very hungry down there.

Her trip is completely for his sake.

She's never been grocery shopping alone before, though. Her shopping basket was originally filled with rice, soup, raw chicken, shrimp. It dawns on her that she doesn't know how to cook, so she's putting things back. In their proper places, of course.

She'll have to pick out something easier.

Leon spied the girl Sora'd mentioned, but had never introduced. Putting down the box he'd been looking over, he stepped up next to her and nodded once.

"I'm Leon," he said with a quiet smile.

There's a blink, as Kisa sets down a bag of rice on the shelf from her basket. She knows she- Wait, Sora mentioned a Leon. His friend. If he's Sora's friend he must be a good person, right?

Still. Kisa wishes, now, she hadn't come along.

Her gaze drops, shifts. 'Kisa,' she wants to say, of course, but she hasn't quite found it yet.

She does her best to give him a kind smile, but it's timid. Then she bows a little, neatly. It's the best she can do for a 'hello' or 'how do you do?'

Leon nodded. "Nice to meet you." Turning his gaze to her perusal, he added, "Looking for food too, huh?"

He wondered where she was from; he didn't recognize her name or her face, but apparently Sora had befriended her, and Leon knew the boy well enough to trust his judgment. ...most of the time.
