Xigbar had just brought the cat home from the pet shop in town and was letting him do his own thing before he was going to head out to get Byte (as he decided to name it) the things he needed to, well, live in the apartment. Who knew where Byte was in the apartment right now. Xigbar knew one thing he forgot to get him-- which was a bell to put around his neck.

Figuring Saix discovered the cat, Xigbar got up from his bed and opened the door. "Yeah, what?" He asked, seemingly unaffected by his roommate's booming voice. Xigbar stopped a moment to see Saix sneezing, and arched an eyebrow. "...You need a tissue? They're right over there." He nudged towards the kitchen.

"Yeah, good point. So maybe we should keep our eyes open for another target that isn't also getting into the thick of it.. like the Princesses." Xigbar nodded, perking up a bit at the mention of another prone to darkness. He grinned. "If you're talking about who I think you're talking about, THAT is going to be a challenge. I'd say the way to her is through the girl, but we can't really harm her now can we?"

Xigbar stretched his arms a bit, getting comfortable. "My thoughts? VIII is getting side tracked with that heart of his. Sure, he was losing his competence when XIII was fooling him with thoughts of friendship and companionship, but now that he's got a heart, even though he's on mission now, he's going to keep getting pulled to what the heart wants." He glanced at Saix with his good eye. "I think he's better off getting dispatched from us before he causes more harm than good. That... or take that heart of his. Wait for it to get real nice and juicy and snag it." He shrugged his shoulders. "But thats my two cents."

"Hearts..." Saix mused thoughtfully, once more folding his hands into his long sleeves. Then he nodded once. "I have no issue in relieving him of it." An ironic snort. "Apparently our compatriots were given their hearts thanks to Nine's wish, and this fool island granted it.

"He is still of some use, but the time will soon come when that is no longer so." Golden eyes glinted. "And such time will be divine, Xigbar."

Falling silent again, but only for a moment, Saix then shook his head once. "More observation is needed. With the influx of new arrivals, we cannot be sure yet when is the best moment to strike. The Liddell princess is young and naive. An easy target, but a tarnished one."

Xigbar just grinned at Saix's contribution to the VIII conversation. In all honesty, the Freeshooter couldn't wait to see the day Axel was no longer useful... there was sure to be fireworks.

Bringing the Alice girl up, Xigbar arched an eyebrow. "Well, I guess she'd be a good start too... Didn't Vexen start something with her a while ago? The only problem with that one is her friends. But, I think thats just gonna be a normal trend for our targets. Just means we need a plan for the peanut gallery."

He paused. "..Or we can wait... plan things out and split up. Take care of a good chunk of our potentials all at once."

"From what I was told, Four relieved her of her Heart, but she lives still." He snorted. "An interesting situation. But you are indeed correct; any hostilities aimed toward the brat would result in a clash of arms."

Seated there quietly, there was no trace of the Berserker who'd just minutes before been screaming in a frothing fit.

"I'm content to watch and wait, for the moment. This island seems to have a mind of its own, and we need to be able to turn that to our advantage, Xigbar."

Xigbar shrugged his shoulders a bit. "How do ya suppose we turn it to our advantage? Don't agitate till the moment comes? You know if we wait long enough that Sora kid's gonna start knocking. What then? Pretend we're adjusting to a normal life?"

"That depends. I doubt the island has the capacity to see within, but I can't yet be certain."

He narrowed his eyes. "It didn't take any precautions when the monster attacked it on his master's orders, but it did push him back.

"Ergo, it will protect itself and punish those bent to do it harm, but as to those here, I doubt its protection stems so far."

Saix thought a moment, then added, "As for the Keyblade Bearer...let him initiate contact. He will eventually be unable to resist, and I'll not swing animosities our way by delivering the first strike."

"Sure thats a good idea." Xigbar waved a hand up in the air before giving a small nod. "Sounds like we have plenty of time to plan and thing these things through. Like any good sniper I can wait as long as I need to." He tilted his head. "As for the others... well, Dem's never really cared much to begin with, I doubt he'll be a problem, and he wont bother with anything when the time comes. Vexen gets antsy if you leave him waiting for too long... he has to be occupying himself with some kind of project. I say put him in any mission that might be out there right now." Xigbar tapped his lips thoughtfully. "Wonder why the heart hasn't really bothered with him much..." He grinned. "Well, I guess Vexen's always been the kind to think with his head even when he WAS complete. Ain't that convenient."

"Demyx is useless," Saix snorted. "One of the most pitiful excuses for a Nobody." Claws curled. "Yet, I cannot discount him, due to his heart and his association with the others." Meaning, Axel, Roxas and Sora.

Saix fell again silent, pondering a moment. "Xigbar," he began thoughtfully, "...there are more hearts on this island than those with which we are familiar." One sharp eyebrow arched. "It might be fortuitous to search further abroad in these early stages."

The older Nobody blinked. "What you mean other hearts to take besides the usual suspects?" Xigbar nodded, grinning slightly. "Well, obviously. But how many hearts do ya think we can snag under the radar before our buddy Sora gets wise to us?"

Saix cocked him a brow. "Does it matter, Xigbar? We're not sure just what sort of monsters might commit these atrocities lurk about this place."

He continued on in that same bland, even tone. "For all we're aware, there could be hordes of beasts in those forests which have a taste for internal organs alone. Why must everything point our way, hm?"

Then his gaze sharpened and his voice grew cold once more. "Before he has only stood against one of us in battle. Should we stand against him, the outcome would be different.

"And his 'friends' will be the among the taken."

At that, Xigbar grinned wider. "Well, now you're talking."

Truth be told, this was starting to sound more and more appealing.

Amazingly, the Luna Diviner shared that dark evil grin. "Indeed."

His lip curled in a snarl and he growled, "If only Xemnas had listened..." Snorting, he waved a hand. "Oh, well. He did not. Nor would he have, either."

Picking up his empty coffee cup, Saix rose from his seat with easy grace. "Keep that cat out of here, Xigbar, and let us get to work."

Xigbar stood up as Saix did, smirking slightly. "Sure thing." He eyed his fellow Nobody with a raise of a brow. "...See? So much better when we get along."

Now to get rid of the cat and get back to work. This was the kind of break of silence he was hoping for. Surely Lydia seemed the kind to take on a furry comrade. Sure. Problem solved.

He started over to Saix's room that the cat had claimed.

A snort was Xigbar's only answer as Saix headed from the small study into the kitchen, aiming for the coffeepot. His one necessity.

"Take care you scour it, Xigbar!" he called in the direction from which he'd come.

Be damned before he erupt into a sneezing fit because of a single cat hair!

"Only if you do the dishes for once." Xigbar called back to the higher ranked Nobody, more jokingly than anything else.
