Aerith didn't know where she was going. She had a vague sense that she was heading towards her flowers, but even they had lost importance in the emotion of the moment. A few times she stumbled, but she carried on anyway.

It was only when she reached a small clearing in the forest that she finally came to rest. Falling to her knees, she cried into her hands. As she did so, her hands began to glow.

Her...body...

She blinked rapidly, touching the tears on her cheeks.

The Life Stream was still apart of her...

Everywhere the tears touched, her skin glowed as if she had touched Materia.

She wasn't allowed to ponder on this for long. Standing up quickly like a frightened doe, she wiped at her face hurriedly.

"What i-isn't?" she tried to smile, "You're...Jing." she nodded, sensing familiarity in his voice, "I...did something bad. I never meant to hurt anyone."

He sighed again and wiped her eyes and her tears. Not caring about the glowing. Glowing tears was a new one he'd add to the list of things before though. So this was Aerith. He had to admit she was pretty. Sweet too. Pretty sweet girls often got hurt in the worst ways though.

"I am yes," he replied as he took off his coat and put it around her shoulders. "And no, you didn't mean too. But what we want and what happens rarely coincide. But you shouldn't blame yourself for this. You didn't do anything wrong intentionally."

He continued to watch her and while she had cause Cissnei great grief, she could not be faulted for it. Not when her crime was mere existence.

"People make mistakes. Even the best of them. And let me assure you gods do too."

After everything that had happened, the last thing Aerith was expecting was kindness. But she had already seen that Jing could be kind. Maybe she shouldn't be so surprised ( ... )

Jing wasn't very good at being cruel when women cried. It was quite honestly disconcerting to him. He didn't like seeing a woman cry in sorrow. Joy he'd use for his profit or benefit. But crying women... he could remember the many girls that had cried in front of him. And Aerith had a very good reason to be crying to be perfectly honest. He understood why she was crying. It truly wasn't her fault and Jing would not blame her. Yes, she was naive. But her naivety was attributed to her ignorance of the situation. As far as Aerith had known - and as far as Jing could deduce - she was in a place with Zack and Cloud and alive ( ... )
