Adjusting the waistband of his jeans, Neji let out a low sigh, wishing for his old clothes back for the third time today and grabbing the blanket off his bed. He rolled it up tightly and tucked it underneath his arm, stepping up onto the windowsill and jumping out.

The brunet landed easily on his feet and took off in a sprint towards town, hoping that he hadn't made Lavi wait too long in the middle of all those people, seeing as how he was naked.

Once he reached his destination, he stopped and glanced around curiously, pale eyes locking onto the rather . . bare redhead that was trying to cover himself up then glaring towards the passerbys to make them keep walking.

He unrolled the blanket and moved forwards behind the other male, carefully wrapping the object around his shoulders with a light blush. ``I'm late,`` he murmured, looking away quickly. ``Sorry.``

``Some,`` repeated the younger, focusing his attention on the floor and trying to brush aside the thoughts of Konoha's invasion, but it wasn't so easy.

Neji followed close behind, stopping when Lavi looked at him then staring back down. ``Not exactly. It's being invaded by the enemy and look at where I am.``

"Hey...don't get so down. The war against the Earl hasn't stopped where I'm from either" he said patting Neji's bare shoulder. "I dunno, there are all sorts of possibilities. Maybe time's stopped where we're from? Or maybe we're still there but not seeing it ourselves" he said in a musing voice. "Or maybe there's an alternate reality where since we were taken out of our worlds,the reality was set to change without us" He shrugged. There were so many more thoughts about this buzzing in his mind. "Whatever it may be, I don't think anyone's blamin' ya for not being there"

He tensed slightly when Lavi touched his shoulder, clenching his hands into fists so he wouldn't end up swinging his arm up and knocking the other male's hand away. Lavi was only trying to help and Neji was grateful, but he just wanted to forget right now.

His cheeks flushed, head tilting up so he could look at the redhead again. ``I hope they aren't blaming me for not being there . . ``

"Nah..I really don't think so. Ya seem like the kinda guy that wouldn't abandon anyone. Anyways, off of the touchy subject" he said letting his arm drop to his side. "Let's get some clothes, shall we? This skirt's makin' my testosterone levels drop" he joked laughing a bit and walking further into the store.

Relaxing a bit more when the redhead dropped his arm, Neji blinked lightly then felt a half smile cross his face, his hand coming up to touch the side of his head. ``I'm sure it is.``

He sighed almost silently, moving forwards and tucking his arms over his chest again. ``You can pick out whatever you want, as long as it's not too expensive.``

Lavi scanned the clothes racks. All he needed was a few pairs of clothes until he got his own uniform back and got his own money for clothing. He picked up a pair of jeans that looked like they were his size. The material, however, was new to the Bookman-in-training since jeans had yet to be invented. Well, it was a first time for everything. He picked out a deep blue pair and a light blue pair then moved on to finding a couple shirts.

Looking over all of the different selections, he picked out a button-down red shirt and a forest green t-shirt with a small leafy design in the corner. He made sure that his selections were decently priced before plucking them off of their designated places. "I should try these on, yeah?"

The Hyuuga watched the other male silently, his hands rubbing his bare arms again and his head tilting the other way. He lowered his arms to tuck his hands into his back pockets, staring down at his sandals before brushing his toe against the floor, glancing back up afterwards.

He eyed the items that Lavi picked out, doing his best to stand still, but for some reason, he just couldn't. ``Yes, you should. It would be nice if they fit before we buy them.``

Lavi's trained eye couldn't help but notice the other's fidgeting behaviors. "You okay, Neji? Ya look a bit nervous there" he asked.

Neji shook his head, pulling one hand around to press against his face, fingers tangling into his bangs.

``I'm fine,`` he replied, eventually pulling his other hand around to rest on his hip.

"Now that's a lie if I've ever heard one, but I'm not gonna press ya if you don't feel like tellin' me. We just met after all" the red-head gave him a genuine smile before turning around and heading to the changing rooms to try on the clothes draped over his arms.

His eyes flashed then widened just barely, hands clenching tighter on his hair and hip. He could have sworn his heart skipped a beat; that was the first time someone had actually let him off so easily.

Neji watched Lavi silently, shutting his eyes and taking a step back before sliding into a sit on the floor, his hand moving up to his chest.

Pulling on the green shirt and deep blue jeans, he stepped out of the dressing room. He didn't have any underpants, but he could do without until he got his own back or got some money. "Ta-da~" he chimed. "How does it look?" he grinned cheerfully trying to cheer the more serious boy up.

He tugged his legs up and wrapped his arms around them to keep them out of the other people's ways, only looking up when he heard Lavi's voice again.

A slow smile crossed his face while he dropped his arms and pressed his hands aganst the cool floor, his head nodding slowly. ``It looks good.``

Lavi laughed and did a few modeling walks, being the silly exorcist that he was. "Why thank you~" he laughed in a playful voice. He then walked back into the dressing room and tried on the other shirt and pair of jeans. "How about this?" The taller male struck poses and made serious faces like he was a male model yet again goofing around.

Neji couldn't help it; whenever Lavi did that, he had to bring his hand up and cover his mouth, trying to block out his soft laughter while he shook his head.

``That one looks good also,`` he answered, moving to stand back up and brushing off the back of his pants, his arms crossing over his chest yet again.
