Kevin would never admit to being somewhat relieved to be heading to an unfamiliar house. But the fact was, even if Tennyson would be coming to pick up the Synthoid soon, he kind of needed to be at his house in order for that to happen. And really, it hadn't taken him long to find the place. And when he's shoved his key in the lock and opened the door, Ship almost instantly bounced in and began mimicking things he saw, first turning into a nearby lamp before finding something else to change into.

"Would you cut that out? I know you're excited about Tennyson coming over, but save some energy for him," Kevin grouched, slamming the door behind him and going over to collapse on the couch and simply glare at the ceiling.

Oh, what he wouldn't give to be back at the auto show...

As a door downstairs slammed, Kanda let out an irritated sigh, his concentration effectively broken. Lavi seemed to have some kind of annoying innate ability to know when to come over at the worst times. After several long moments of silence, he knew something was wrong. It was too quiet. An intruder. Kanda grabbed Mugen and stood up, unsheathing the sword as he leaped down the stairs in one bound.

Activing his Innocence, Kanda surveyed the living room, and his eyes fell on the black and green... thing. Akuma? No, impossible. Lavi had said there were no Akuma here. While the redhead acted like an idiot most of the time, he was still a decent Exorcist. Kanda pointed his sword to the man on the couch, while keeping his eye on the strange creature. Was it a monster from the forests?

"Who the hell are you?" he asked, irritated, and entirely too prepared to attack.

Of course, years of living in the Null Void had honed Kevin's instinct to a razor edge. The second Kanda was down the stairs, Kevin was off the couch and absorbing the wood of the nearby coffee table. Figures there'd be nothing made out of metal or ever stone nearby that was substantial enough to cover him. Wood would have to do for now.

At the question, the dark-haired ten scoffed and glared, even as Ship eagerly bounded over to Kanda. The Symbiote was staring up at the excorcist and eagerly wiggling in an attempt to draw his attention.

"I could ask you the same thing," Kevin replied, trying his best to ignore just how friendly Ship was being to a potential intruder.

Momentarily caught by surprise when the blob came far too close for comfort, Kanda took a moment to decide who seemed more dangerous at the moment; the freak who had just turned himself into wood and was still alive, or the creature that could potentially be an Akuma. Considering that the thing was acting more like a hyperactive housepet, Kanda kept his eye on the intruder.

"You're the one who broke into my house!" he countered with a scowl, lurching forward with Mugen aimed straight for where the man's heart should be, under normal circumstances. There was no possible way this man could be a normal human, so no need or want to hold back.
