Doumeki had spent the evening making sure his new bow and glove were in top shape, cleaning and caring for them. The bow still felt unfamiliar and too new, slightly different than the one he had at home, but it was better than being completely unarmed. After making sure his equipment was in order, keeping himself a steady shade of purple throughout, he'd changed into his archery clothes and gone down to the beach at quarter to 10 ( ... )

Watanuki kept walking, still as white as his yukata.

"I got here on my own. I'll leave that way too."

He didn't bother too look back. If he had, perhaps he would have seen how red Zero was, and how Doumeki was slumped over the sand.

He would have went back.

But he didn't. Instead, he just kept walking.

And now, he didn't want to be here either.

He stared at Doumeki sitting on the sand, looking almost broken. He looked at Watanuki, the white dominating him as he walked away into the night where creatures like him dwelled.

"FUCK!"

He didn't want to go after him, he as injured, the beast still so close to the surface and Watanuki's blood, a very dark red that was almost black overtook him... the bloodlust was near the surface. In order to heal faster... he needed blood.

He clenched his hands tightly, turning pitch black again, all traces of red gone. He hated this. His control was so easy to snap. He was a pitiful being that couldn't evade his instincts. He was ruled by them, could barely contain them.

He gave Doumeki one last look, a glare, and went after Watanuki. It was easy to catch up to him, and when he was near him, he grabbed his hand. "You're going home," was all he said, his skin pitch black and milky white.

He lifted his head after a moment, when Kiryuu cursed, and pushed himself up out of the sand. He'd seen as much as he had already, and he slung his archery bag over his shoulder, moving after. He'd caught the glare from the angry vampire, and followed, his skin and hair turning white.

Kiryuu had had blood lust earlier, as far as Doumeki knew, and he also knew that Watanuki's blood smelled good. The connection was made, when he remembered Kiryuu telling him to take Watanuki home.

He caught up quickly with a few long strides and paused beside Kiryuu, giving him a cold stare, still white from head to toe, and spoke in a low voice, "Do you need me to do it?"

Watanuki looked between the two, his hand locked into Zero's own, who was churning many colors. Red... he was red...? But he had hit him...

He decided to think on it later, as Doumeki strolled up. He remained quiet, waiting for an answer.

He turned to Doumeki, a flash of green overtaking him. Before he tried to stopper his emotions. He stared at the man. Saw the white that overtook him. He was numb. When had he turned numb?

And then he remembered.

Yuuki... he and Wata... though not the same... it reminded him slightly of when Yuuki had taken him to go see Kaname, so she wouldn't wuss out and as him about her past... a very dark blue instantly washed over him. Kaname has asked her to be his lover then. Had taken her into his arms as he watched in the background unable to leave because she had asked him to stay, to help her, and now...

It took him a moment to find his words, to calm himself down, the dark blue no longer there, but instead a light blue covered half of him while the other part of him glowed a milky white.

"No. I'll take him home," he told him, eyes bank.

He turned to Watanuki. "Let's go," he said, as he pulled him along away from the archer.

Doumeki nodded, the white colour of his body not changing despite the blue that washed over the vampire.

Giving a nod, he looked at Watanuki again, and turned, going back towards his home.

Watanuki stared after him. The hand that held Zero's tightened.

Doumeki...

He looked down, and finally, the white gave way to a little blue.

I came here to make sure you were okay too...

Watanuki straightened. He slowly looked towards Zero.

"...Take me home then."

Zero nodded. The color unchanging, a light blue and white. He walked him home, staying quiet, hoping the youth had forgotten about his injury in face of everything that had happened. Soon enough he reached a still unfamiliar apartment complex and walked inside. Watanuki next to him. He was almost there.

Watanuki paused by his door, taking out his key. He opened the door to his house, then looked at Zero. His eyes trailed down to his bleeding side.

He looked at it. Watanuki turned white again, looking up at him.

"Get it fixed."

In fact, he slapped Zero again, just for good measure. Watanuki didn't think he'd ever hit someone so many times in one night. On wonder people liked resorting to violence.

"I'm coming over to check on you tomorrow."

A pause.

"I love you. Goodnight."

And then, he slammed the door, right in his face.

And he was slapped again, turning a deep red as his hand connected with his cheek--again.

He glared at him, would have said snapped a few choice words, but then his last words caught him off guard. He flashed a orange as the boy shut the door in his face.

What had just happened?

... he ran a hand down his face, pink and orange overtaking him as he walked away.
