It was good to feel free from his own insecurities, even if he never would escape the dark.
White wings shifted to catch the breeze between his feathers, and Riku closed his blue eyes for a moment before he made his way out of the forest and toward the beach, into the sight of the princess of heart. There were so many things that made it strange to be around her, but nevertheless he was glad to see the girl. Many things had happened since he had last been here... "Alice," Riku finally called to the girl, long strides bringing him up beside the young girl.

When she heard her name she looked up and then her gloom seemed to disappear. She scrambled up and practically tackled Riku in a hug.
"RIKU!" she squee'd as she hugged onto him tightly, hiding her face in his chest. His scent was familiar, his warmth, everything about him was wonderfully familiar. "Oh Riku! Riku I've missed you ever so very very much!" she didn't realize it but tears were starting to fall from her eyes.

"I missed you too Alice, I'm sorry I left." He said quietly, petting blond hair briefly before looking down at her face, seeing that she was crying. Why did he make both of the girls he had seen in the span of a day cry? He moved his hand from her hair and wiped her face gently, much like an doting older brother would, and that was how he felt at times...and for some reason, Riku didn't mind the role at all. "Don't cry either Princess, I'd rather you yell at me than for you to cry about me."

"But I'm just ever so happy!" she sniffled and hugged herself tighter to Riku. "And I missed you so! I don't want to yell. I couldn't bring myself to yell at you. I just... I never want to let you go!" She hid her face in his neck, gripping onto his shoulders. "Please don't leave me again," she sniffled and then pulled away, smiling although just a tiny bit sad. "I feel like it's been years and a single heart-beat all at once since we've last seen each other." She smiled, warm in his arms, content in his arms. She never wanted to leave them. "I forgive you, Riku. I will always forgive you."
