I, however, love the adorable poly!domesticity. Why do I read so little Spain? This was delicious!

“And stop ganging up on me,” England mumbles into the sheets. “Stupid Continentals.”

If there has ever been a lost cause, this is it.

"You are a bearded disgrace."

This insult is entered my officil FrUK headcanon

“You keep your paperwork in your cutlery drawer?!”

“Simple,” America says brightly. “I called his house but nobody answered, so then I called France’s house but nobody answered, so then I knew they were with you.”

...and he's so cool with it. This is something that struck me as especially sweet, since it's so often missing from polyfic.

“You... elicit clutter,” France says carefully.

How diplomatic. I'm coopting this in real life.

Lovely as always, my dear!

Thanks so much! I don't write as much Spain as I would like to, myself, though I adore working with his ambiguous derpiness and light-hearted, straightforward approach to life.

I came up with "bearded disgrace" when the paragraph was shaped rather differently, and I was worried during the editing process that the changes would force me to delete it. In the end I decided to sacrifice some smoothness of phrasing to preserve it, since it's one of my favourite things about the entire fic. So I'm very glad to hear that you're adopting it. :)

You make a good point that supportive friends/family rarely show up in polyfic, but I think the same point stands with all relationship fic - the ship becomes the centre of the fic universe, and everything else kind of falls off. But I liked the idea of including a moment like that, since supportive structures are so helpful in real life, and romantic relationships shouldn't actually erase the rest of the world.

Thanks again! It's always a treat to see a comment from you. :)
