Gyah! Stop making me want to go back and look at watch old films again! I have so much new stuff I've yet to watch and you keep reminding me of films I havent seen in ages but want to see again! ^_^
I loved From Dusk Till Dawn. I knew right from the start that I was going to love it. Like when they're in the shop trying to shoot each other and still arguing about whether the cashier signaled to the cop or not. There were lulz. And Richie was creepy as fuck. I always though that Seth would have been fairly normal if he hadnt had to go to extremes to clean up his brothers messes all the time.
Expect more ranting of that variety soon, because I still have Reservoir Dogs to watch. :] (Oh and by the way, you don't perchance have Pulp Fiction in DVD, do you?)
The opening scene was brilliant. I loved how the cashier was screaming in agony and all bleeding and still had time to go "NO I DIDN'T". And how all across the movie, sometimes Richie would pick up on something completely insignificant and start repeating it over and over and over again. He was cute in that completely "would be horrible to have him around" way. I have such a weakness for weakness, doesn't get worse.
I think George Clooney's character in Ocean's Eleven may actually be Seth. A minus-Richie version thereof. Things go considerably better for him there.
Oh you havent seen Reservoir Dogs yet!? It is also quite excellent. And where I got (part of) my other username. I do indeed have Pulp Fiction on DVD. The collectors edition, no less. Lots of great extras with it. Including postcard sized photos of the characters. I put them on my wall next to my Reservoir Dogs poster. ^_^
I never thought of that but it makes a lot of sense. Danny Ocean is very much like Seth except for the murders and all.
I'm watching it tonight if everything goes well! So far I like Pulp Fiction best, but Richie is my favourite character of the bunch.
Um, um, would you do me a favour tiem pls? I um I just happen to be a bit of an icon nerd but internet fails me with Pulp Fiction screencaps and and and I was wondering if someone wonderful and generous in posession of the aforementioned DVD could take a couple ones of post OD!Uma and the gimp? *insert overdone puppy eyes hear*
I can't help loving it when Seth has that "this is not my modus operandi, you sicko >>>>>:" fit. I think it's my favourite bit from the movie, becase it's heartbreaking but the murder is disturbing as hell.
"but I can only imagine it'd be especially hot if she was tearing somebody's throat apart with her teeth"..... errr... I came?
RoR icons... I def. need a link leading to THAT.. And Satanico Pandemonium.. you're talking about the horror movie of Gilberto Solares? ( I hope not being hyper random by saying this... -_- ) But it's the only thing I can remember with that name..
Satanico Pandemonim is a character in the movie, but I think she was actually named after the Solares movie because apparently it was the only thing remotely Mexican they knew about. XD Silly writers.
Annnnd the icons shall be posted when there's a considerable amount of them finished. ^_^ The post is here, there's only one RoR icon in there as of yet.
To be or not to be is the best movie about Nazis. Ever. Maybe this side of The Producers, but you know.
I wasn't expecting much geekiness. I mean, Flake's Sehnsucht persona isn't geeky at all, he didn't even wear his glasses in that video. But my favourite character was the one he mirrors, I did like that. ^_^
I liked them as a whole but Richie the Meddy-needy maniac was definitely my favourite. It's not the character that manages to hit all my weak spots, though, it's more like the relationship and the dependance and the weakness and how it doesn't need anything romantic or sexual in there to be so intense. Although I did notice they have quite a bit of affectionate physical contact for two grown men. *shrugs* Such is life in the eyes of fab serial killers.
They do seduce the victims in a more metaphorical way. Only it's not as subtle as the word seems to imply. But I'll sign off before I drown in my mental verbosity, sweetie.
I congratulate you on your excellent nerdness and hand you a portable spare brain for special occasions. Whatever that means.
Also I'm starting to develop a serious GIVEMEGIVEMEGIVEME! anxiety when it comes to Rule of Rose. Import is a cruel thing. *nods and walks away*
UND you make From Dusk till Dawn sound infinitely better than I had it in mind, providing I had it in mind at all. Read: Need to watch that again. Fast.
And would To be or not to be be the Mel Brooks version of the same?
*spare brain sits on head* Doesn't it look *stylish*?
You have no RoR?! DDD: HOMG NO COOLNESS BADGE GOES FOR YOU1111. ...high in the recommendations list it shall go, lady.
Of course, given that I'm rather infatuated with that movie right now, I may sound a bit flattering and not actually say that my favourite characters are a messy half-spastic sociopath and some whore who doesn't touch absolutely anybody normally. But since it's the squeey times, I'll just go for the OMGFROMDUSKTILLDAWNISLURRVEEE1111. *smiles and nods*
Nuu, I watched the Ernst Lubsomethingtsch version. I didn't know Mel Brooks made one! I need to watch that fast. Is it good?
Ohh, you'd love it, you're a survival horror type. I wish I still had mine though so I could send it to you. ;^; It's rather easy to find over here though, if you search a little deep, I may look for a copy and send it to you and see if it works.
Ahh, I hadn't even heard of the Brooks!version! *hangs head in shame* And I dare call myself a cinema fan. Nah, there's no such thing as 'repetitive' really, let's face it, I hardly get bored of anything quickly. And hey, Producers! ^_^ I take your recommendations into account.
