As it's a laptop, I am supposed to unplug it and: a) Take it home. This way, it can't get stolen from the premises, and if the building burns down I can work remotely, or at least that's the theory.
b)Put it under lock and key in my desk. This just to avoid theft problems.
We had very little funds at the start of our life together: our "honeymoon" was spent at the laundromat washing our only set of bed linens because of a practical joke played by a few friends. But the evening walk to and from the laundromat was moonlit; on the way home, we ate ice cream cones. It's been a grand memory for 65 years!
Our first anniversary, we sat on the veranda overlooking a pond and drank Asti Spumante while listening to "our song" (Mahler's 1st Symphony which is VERY romantic).
We didn't exchange gifts because it seemed a silly waste... we were young, poor and didn't feel the need, especially as paying the bills took most of our cash.

Our honeymoon wasn't much better, the wedding day was very simple, and the rest of the week we spent cleaning and tidying the flat. At least no pranks. A couple of our real life friends sulked about that, but as much as I was telling all and sundry here, we were quite discreet offline to avoid such pranks. That and the stag/hen parties. The only people invited knew that the best way to ruin the whole thing for us would be to do any of that. :)
For the anniversary, a picknic by the lake might be a nice idea, but the weather is not cooperating lately.
