The Graveyard Book's success puzzles me a little. When I read it, I felt like I was far too old for it but that I'd have loved it when I was 12.

I'm not really surprised that kids are having themed parties for it but it's the adults who are picking the award winners.

I haven't read it yet but I have heard similar things. I think Neil was even a bit embarrassed it won the Hugo award for best novel instead of Stephenson's Anathem.
