Dirty old river, must you keep rolling?
I am about 4000 words behind in my nanowrimo. I think I've regained control of the story though. I just read it through and it's not as shockingly bad as I feared. The story is sort of about London and how three different people relate to it and each other. 7000 words in and the first character has only just made it to London and met the second

Seriously. I've banned myself. I'm allowed to re-read three paragraphs before I start writing that day, just to get back in the swing, but that's it.
You've got the rest of your life to read it back and make it wonderfully perfect. Nobody ever wrote a perfect first draft.
