I believe that you may be one of the few people who enjoyed this novel. I agree with your comment about Heathcliff; I felt much the same way. I am glad that there is someone besides myself that willingly admits their love for Wuthering Heights!

This is actually one of my favorite books. And if you really analyze it, its construction is quite complex and meticulously thought out, from the different points of views of narration to the novel's actual structure. It's symmetrical?! o_o; Plus, the characterizations and the intensity of emotion are even more remarkable considering the fact that Emily was probably fairly isolated and inexperienced. But then I don't really know about that. ^^;
Heathcliff is also one of my favorite characters ever, perfectly Bryronic, intense, and tortured. He's a truly tragic character in the guise of the villain. But I think I really became obsessed with him after watching the A&E adaptation with Ralph Fiennes as Heathcliff! <3

Oh yes, I agree. And YES!! The Ralph Fiennes movie is great. I saw it years ago and bought the DVD when it came out, but it was sitting on my shelf unopened until after I finished the book and then I had to watch it! Stunning and Ryuichi Sakamoto's score was perfect too.

Would you mind at all if I add you? It's nice to find someone who updates their book journal as frequently as you do :D [I had to close mine because I never found the time for it :/]
