Happy Happy Three Day Trip

It’s been a while since they didn’t spend time together, so when Ohno suggested a little vacation with just the five if them, they all checked their schedules and chose a date. In two weeks, Arashi would go on a ‘Happy happy three day trip’ as Aiba liked to name it.

The most difficult part was to choose where they would go. Jun wanted to go at the beach and Ohno agreed with him because beach meant sea and sea meant fishing. But Nino objected because fishing meant boat and boat meant…seasickness. Aiba thought of an amusement park, but Jun refused explaining that if people recognized them, then their ‘Happy Happy whatever it is trip’ would be ruined. Finally, Sho who hadn’t given his opinion told about a little onsen in Fukushima. The owner knew Sho since he went a lot with his family in the past. The place would be safe and Arashi’s members would spend a three day trip without worry.

So, after much thought they all accepted Sho’s offer and it was decided that their ‘Happy happy three days trip’ would take place in Fukushima.

The day before their leave, Arashi was always busy filming and interviewing. But even though everyone tried to work hard, their minds were already in Fukushima.

“Fukuuuuuushima! Fukuuuuuuushima!” Sang playfully Aiba while he changed his clothes in their dressing room.

“This guy is really noisy.” Sighed Jun passing by him.

Though he sounded annoyed, Jun couldn’t suppress the smile on his face. They really needed a small break and well, he couldn’t deny the fact that he was also a little thrilled.

Sho just laughed as he hung the coat-hanger in his locker.

“You only realized that now?” Smirked Nino, stretching his limbs on the couch.

“Hey! I’m not as noisy as you…” Defended Aiba.

“Yes you are Aiba-chan.” Cut Sho, a soft laugh coming from the back of his throat.

Aiba ducked his head and pouted. “Even Sho-chan thinks so…”

Ohno didn’t say anything; he just looked at his band mates as he always did. Their laughs and friendly jokes warmed his heart. Ohno had noticed his friends were tired despite their smiles and happy talks; he had seen it in their eyes. That’s why the leader had proposed this little vacation. And it was always funnier doing things together than being apart.

The sleeping leader turned his face when he felt a warm hand on his shoulder.

“Are you ready, Satoshi?” Asked Nino.

Ohno nodded and smiled genuinely at his lover. They both grabbed their bags and left the room.

“Good night. See you tomorrow!” Said Nino before passing through the door.

The following day, Sho parked his car in front of Aiba’s house. The rapper was the driver this time because only he knew the way. At first, it was decided that Sho would pick Jun up, then Aiba and finally the Omhiya pair, but early in the morning Sho received a call from one totally panicked Aiba. The tall idol didn’t let him know why he was worried, but as soon as he heard Sho’s voice through the phone, Aiba calmed down. It took the rapper almost thirty minutes to force Aiba to hang up, and only because Sho promised Aiba to pick him up first.

As soon as his finger touched the bell, the door opened widely and Aiba threw himself at Sho’s neck.  Aiba held Sho as if he was afraid the rapper would leave, the latter was in shock. Not that he wasn’t used to Aiba’s hugs, but this one was really weird and Aiba’s shudders and soft whispers didn’t help.

“You’re here…you’re here…” Repeated constantly Aiba, tightening his hold around Sho’s neck.

“Aiba-chan are you alright?”

“Yeah…” Whispered Aiba breaking the embrace.

“Sho-chan…you will stay with me forever? You promise you will never leave me, right?” He asked his fingers clenched around Sho’s forearms.

“Aib…what’s wrong with you? Why are you…”

“PLEASE PROMISE ME!” Screamed stubbornly Aiba with teary eyes.

Sho remained silent. Honestly he was stunned by Aiba’s attitude; the taller idol was usually cheerful, smiling, carefree, and always laughing. However, right in front of Sho’s eyes was one shaking young man who cried and was scared. He wiped Aiba’s tears gently before taking him in a strong embrace.

“Of course I promise.” As soon as Sho had pronounced those words, the tensed body against his chest started to relax. He rocked Aiba tenderly as he thought about his words. He would never leave Aiba; he would always be there for him, even though it was in a friendly way only. When Sho started to think that he wanted more than friendship he broke slowly their embrace and tried to smile as his friend.

“What did put you in this state?” He asked softly.

“Nothing…” Replied Aiba, avoiding Sho’s eyes and rubbing his wet nose.

“Come on! You can’t lie to me.” He laughed hopefully he would make his friend smiling.

But his attempt failed. Aiba lifted his head and looked seriously at Sho. “A…nightmare.”

And the soft reply told Sho that Aiba wouldn’t tell him anything more.

During the way until Jun’s apartment, Sho did all he could to make Aiba smiles again. And he succeeded after telling him some funny stories about when his family and he went to the onsen, finally Aiba was himself again.

Once they reached Jun’s apartment, the latter wasn’t in a really good mood.

“MatsuJun! MatsuJun!” Called happily Aiba from the front seat as the youngest put his bags in the trunk.

“Already noisy…Why were you so long?!” Grunted Jun as he got into the car and rested the back of his head against the headrest.

Sho looked at Aiba who ducked his head and fell silent, then he looked at Jun through rearview mirror and smiled apologetically. Jun saw it and watched Aiba in a concerned way; usually the taller idol would falsely pout and whimper, it was so rare for Jun to see his friend so low and the youngest decided to put an end to their friendly argument.

Finally, the car reached Ohno’s house and while the leader said goodbye to his mother with a warm and huge embrace, Nino came towards the car visibly angry. He knocked at the window and didn’t even wait for Sho to open it completely.

“Is it true that you told Oh-chan there would be a lake near the onsen?!” Asked annoyingly the gamer.

“Well…yes.” Chuckled Sho. “In fact, there’s a lake my parents stopped by every time we went there. And there’s also one near the onsen.”

Nino sighed then glared at Sho as he pointed at him with his finger. “I’m warning you Sho-chan, if I spend three days fishing, I kill you.” Said Nino before turning back and went to take their bags.

Sho laughed more and turned his head to face Jun. “Why is he so angry today?”

“I forbade him to take his DS during the trip…Or else I would say Ohno that Nino wants to change their roles during their private moments…and that he likes it rough.”

“Oh you’re mean MatsuJun! Poor Nino…” Said Aiba as he turned his head to face Jun.

“Well, excuse-me, but we will be in this car for more than four hours and I don’t want to hear that noisy and annoying little box during all the way!” Explained Jun before putting his earphones and turning on his Ipod.

“If he was going to listen to his music, then Nino could play with his games, right Sho-chan?”

“Yes.” Smiled Sho as he watched Ohno in front of him, smiling brightly, waving, and calling Sho’s name, his fishing bag on his shoulder.

Sho felt like sometimes they had forgotten that before being idols they were normal people.

“Hiiiii!” Said happily Ohno as he got into the car.

“Hiiiii!” Aiba and Sho replied back as cheerfully as they leader.

Nino pushed Jun when he got into the car and ‘accidentally’ kicked Jun’s knee.

“Sorry.” Said Nino when Jun glared at him, though it was obvious that the smaller man wasn’t sorry at all.

“Why Aiba-chan is the one on the front seat and not me?!” Argued Jun.

“Because I’m closer to Sho than you are MatsuJun!” Replied Aiba back as he stuck out his tongue.

“That’s not true…our dear MatsuJun used to fan boy our dear Sho-chan. Right…Jun-pon?” Smirked Nino.

If only looks could kill, then Ninomiya’s fans all over the world would be crying the loss of their favorite member.

Except this little fight, the rest of the travel went very well. Arashi weren’t those five famous and gorgeous idols that girls loved so much, but only five young men singing and joking in a car.

Lunch time had passed for a while when the car stopped in front of a beautiful lake. The area was clean and deserted, and was filled with a nice perfume of fresh grass. The calm and deep water reflected the Sun like thousand tiny diamonds that were floating on the water. Some big trees gave travelers some place to take a nap shielded from noise and bright light. The guys were enthralled while Sho took some bags out from the trunk.

“Isn’t it great?” He asked as he stood in front of his friends and smiled brightly.

They nodded in unison and without a word. They remained silent a few more minutes until Ohno fixed Sho with begging eyes. The rapper rolled his eyes and nodded once, Ohno didn’t wait anymore and ran towards the car and grabbed his fishing tools.

“Look! A rabbit!” Exclaimed Aiba as he ran towards the small and scared animal.

“So...Oh-chan’s fishing, Aiba-chan is running after stupid rabbits and MatsuJun is sleeping under a tree. And I have nothing to do since my dear electronic girlfriend is in my room…” Sighed Nino, resting is back against the car while Sho prepared their pick-nick.

“Well, you can help me if you want?” Offered Sho though he already knew the response.

“Thanks, but no thanks. I’m not that desperate, moreover I still can play with my cards near Oh-chan.” Said Nino as he left Sho’s alone.

Sho shook his head and chuckled, usually his parents were the one in charge of the meal while Sho ran after his brother around the lake. Sometimes he really felt like he was Arashi’s mother.

They still have a few hours before they reached the onsen, but they had so much fun at the lake they decided to stay a little longer than they had decided at first. Ohno caught some fish, but released them because Jun said he didn’t want to smell like dead fish when they would arrive at the onsen. Aiba was exhausted after he tried desperately to catch one of the cute rabbits. Nino played with his cards during the entire break and for the first time in his magician’s life he was bored, so he decided to do his second favorite hobby: disturbing one MatsuJun who tried in vain to sleep. Finally, Sho slept too because driving was a bit tiring.

They spend a few more hours before they decided to set off again. Ohno tidied up his fishing stuff with Nino’s help while Aiba and Jun cleaned up the mess they had done; the place was clean when they arrived, it would be clean when they would left.

“Sho-chan’s still sleeping.” Said Aiba as he put one of the bags in the trunk.

“Why don’t you wake him up?” Suggested Jun with a soft smile.

Aiba was more than happy to do it and ran towards the sleeping form. The tall idol knelt silently near Sho and watched him for a few minutes. Sho was sleeping like a baby; it was a shame to wake him up! While smiling fondly, Aiba pulled out a blade of grass and tickled softly the rapper’s nose. The nose twitched in a cute way-according to Aiba; and after a deep sighed of contentment, Sho’s eyes fluttered.

“Sorry, but everybody’s ready.” Whispered Aiba while Sho stretched his limbs.

Still a bit asleep, Sho mumbled something and rubbed his eyes, before he grabbed Aiba’s helping hand and stood up.

“Wow! It’s obvious you were sleeping!” Stated Nino when the two others reached them.

“Your face is ugly!” He added and dodged the cap Sho threw at his face.

Once they all got into the car, Sho started the engine…well, he tried.

“What’s the problem?” Asked Jun.

“I don’t know…it seems like the battery ran down.” Said Sho, turning the key again and again.

“Great! Now we have to call for a breakdown mechanic.” Sighed Nino, crossing his arms upon his chest.

“Hum…I can’t do it.” Said Jun as he frowned and looked at his mobile phone.

They all checked their phones and discovered there was no signal.

“This is really great! We’re alone in the middle of nowhere, our car is broken and we don’t have any signal…This is just great!” Groused Nino.

“It could be worse.” Ohno tried to cheer up his friends.

“Oh really?” Snapped Nino.

“Yeah…it could be raining.” At the same moment, some raindrops fell on the windshield.

“Thanks Oh-chan…” Sighed Nino, resting his forehead on Ohno’s shoulder.

“Wait. I think there’s a high school near the lake…I remember talking with a student the last time I came here with my parents and she told me her school was behind the forest.” Explained Sho.

“And?” Asked Jun for further information.

“We can use their phone and call for help.”

It didn’t take too long for them to agree, the rain was getting stronger and faster they would reach the school, faster they would be gone.

Just like Sho told them, the high school wasn’t far away, but the weather was really bad and when they reached the school they were totally soaked. When they saw the building, Aiba stopped right away; Sho noticed and turned his head to look at his friends through the raindrops.

“Come Aiba-chan!”

“I’m not coming.” Whispered the tall idol eyes wide open and shaking his head softly.

“What?” Asked Sho who didn’t hear him.

“I’m not coming!” He said louder.

At the same moment a flash of lightning crossed the sky and gave Aiba and Sho a start. Sho groaned, grabbed Aiba’s hand and forced him to get inside the school. Aiba struggled violently, but it was already too late: he was already inside the school.

The school he saw in his nightmare.
