Shinju and Yuto had been in one band since they entered middle school.
Yuto is a girl magnet but he can't catch Shinju's attention no matter what since Shinju is not really the type to be concerned about love. All she cares about is their band, their music...
Yuto tries all sorts of techniques just to make her see him as a guy not just a fellow band mate but badly fails.
Will Shinju be able to see him as a person who loves her?
Chapter 1
The Band
Nakajima Yuto was starting his day sweeter than ever.
It was February 14, 2011. Girls give chocolates to boys as an appreciation.
And he was getting a lot. Obviously, he was one of the popular boys and the so-called, “Hearthrob”.
“Nakajima-kun? Anou… This is for you.” A girl giving a chocolate to Yuto.
“Oh! Thanks, thanks!” Yuto smiled.
Before Yuto even say another thing, the girl ran from him and got away from shyness.
A voice laughed at it.
“That was weird. She was sure had the guts to give you something when she is actually shy.” Sawada Shinju stated with a teasing voice.
Yuto looked at the girl and laughed with her.
He looked at girl trying to compose some songs out of the keyboard they have.
“Yeah, but she was cute.” Yuto smiled and looked at the chocolate, “This is my 11th chocolate for the day.” He boasted.
Shinju laughed once again and teased him.
“Stop being so arrogant, Yu! Know what? If you think she’s cute then go out with her.” Shinju grin.
Yuto rolled his eyes. He was irritated by the way Shinju grins at him.
He was too annoyed with this conversation.
“Whatever. I like someone and I won’t go out with someone. And you, where’s my chocolate?” Yuto gave a sharp look at the girl who’s serious about the composition she’s making.
Shinju gave her a “SSSHHH” sign.
Yuto continued looking at the girl and decided to get his sights away from the girl just for a second.
Why can’t she feel that I like her? She’s too damn dense about this! I guess that’s why she doesn’t have a boyfriend or what. Yuto thought through.
“Yo!” A boy showed up.
“Oh! Chii! Where’s Keito? And I haven’t seen Etsuko yet.” Yuto said.
Chinen Yuuri, the boy main vocalist of their group.
He put his bag down on the corner where Shinju and Yuto’s bag were.
“Keito? He’s gonna be here in a minute. And Ko-chan is still not here?” Chinen walked to the two and looks at the new composed songs.
Yuto walked up on them and smiled.
“No, you’re girlfriend is still not here.” Yuto grins.
Shinju stopped from what she was doing and widened her eyes in shocked.
She was actually eavesdropping with their conversation.
Well you can’t actually call that as eavesdropping, ‘cause they were in the same room.
“You and Etsuko are together? Wao~ No way! We’re all best friends here! How could she not tell me? She was just in my house last night! We were having a sleepover and it was so fun! Ah! Anyway, when was it?” Shinju started her talkative mode on her.
Chinen blushed and flip his hair.
Yuto and Shinju pointed at him.
“BLUSHING!” They both exclaimed.
“What? I actually didn’t know that I would like her. And, you too. Get yourselves a grip! You should two try to go out.” Chinen smiled at Yuto.
Yuto looked away being conscious.
“Huh? What are you talking about! Yuto and me are bestfriends! BESTFRIENDS! Right, Yu?” Shinju laughed.
Yuto rolled his eyes not letting Shinju see that.
“Ha-ha-ha… Yes! Yes!” And put his hands on Shinju’s shoulder.
Trying to act as if he was ok.
“Chinen, you haven’t answered my question yet. I was asking when you asked Etsuko to go out with you. And why we didn’t know it.” Shinju continued with her curious attitude.
“Well, I happened to ask her last Monday. And she just answered my question the day before yesterday.” Chinen blushed again.
Shinju laughed and was enjoying the view of the blushing guy.
“I need some talking with her! She didn’t tell me yesterday. And wasn’t it too fast for her to answer you in just 2 days?” Shinju asked again in curiosity.
Chinen was about to tell his answer, when his eyes was caught by a beautiful view.
Walking towards him. Hair falling to the side and with a bright smile.
Sasaki Etsuko, girl main vocalist of the band.
Guessing, that’s why Chinen felled for her badly. Except for the fact that she’s kind and lovely.
They were a duet. All the people in the band sing, but Chinen, Etsuko and Shinju mostly get the lines because it’s their forte.
“I don’t need to take 2 years to answer him, Shin-shin. I already know him since we were middle school.” Etsuko walked in and answered the question of Shinju.
Yuto and Shinju smiled to the two.
They were having a chills-of-love when someone walked in singing his heart out.
Okamoto Keito, the guitarist.
He dropped his bag on the corner and held to his loving guitar.
“Oh yeah~!” Keito sings a-long with his iPod.
Everyone looked at him.
And yes, he ruined the love aura.
“What?” Keito pulled one side of his earphones.
“Ah, whatever Keito. Too messy. Let’s get started!” Shinju rolled her eyes.
And the band started to rehearse and talk about some things. The bands name was Monoto Jujika.
