[Not that Shunsui is in any state to pay that much attention, but Ukitake is watching the feed with wide eyes and a growing smile.]

[Ukitake keeps his eyes open for the both of them, making sure Shunsui doesn't trip over any rubble or fall over at the same time. He was glad he hadn't had an attack in a good while, so his body was somewhat strong.]

I think it's almost been four months now.

[What was going on? If he wasn't so drunk maybe he could make some sense of all this. Whatever was going on needed to be explained... maybe on a more sober basis. It was just too much for right now and Kyoraku needed nothing but a nice rest and a ice cold glass of water.]

[He told himself before, placing his hand on his temple in an attempt to rub out his headache. So many thoughts were going in and out of his head. He drank, he talked to some of the Vice Captains... and then..]

"Oh yeah, I remember. I was drunk (obviously) and I had just finished trying to get Rangiku and some of the other Vice Captains to have a drink with me. They weren't having it so I went to find Nanao..."

[They're getting closer and Ukitake personally can't wait until he can deposit Shunsui on a bed. That man's kind of heavy.]

Well for starters, Aizen is a traitor. I couldn't believe it at first, but looking back on our previous interactions, everything fits together perfectly.

[Jyuushiro's subtle muscle shifts signaled that he was getting too heavy for him. For some reason, the level of intoxication was dropping at a rapid pace. Maybe his reiatsu in this new environment had something to do with it.]

[So, once again, Ukitake is the farthest in the past. He's getting used to that. At Shunsui's next words, Ukitake looks at him wide-eyed.]

[He wanted to say "past few months without him," but something just seemed a little odd about it. He was just with Jyuushiro the other day, so how was it possible for him to have been here for 4 months? The headache was seemingly coming back after the two had parted, but he tried his best not to show it.]

[He rolled his shoulders and stretched out his neck.]

[His forced laughter seems to get the best of him and he begins coughing. This usually doesn't happen, but he should be back in tip top shape soon. He wondered how much longer until they reached Unohana's clinic.]

[Hearing the coughing, Ukitake immediately rubs Shunsui's back, hoping to help in any way.]

Heh, let's see. Obviously us and Unohana-taichou, Hitsugaya-taichou, Matsumoto-fukutaichou, Zaraki-taichou, Kusajishi-fukutaichou, Kurotsuchi-taichou, and Kuchiki Rukia. Urahara Kisuke is also here.

[There are so many members of the Gotei here. Did this have anything to do with Aizen's betrayal? And if it did, why were they in this city? If it were Aizen they would be in the Hollow's realm... not here. Nothing was making sense. Absolutely nothing.]

Some of them are. I was invited by Zaraki to stay in a second house from where he lives, but no one else from Seireitei lives with me.

[Ukitake is quiet for a moment.]

Perhaps...if you wouldn't mind, I could ask the owner of my house if you could stay with us. After we make sure you're back to your carefree self, of course.

Seriously, that would be great. I don't feel like looking for a place on my own anyway. You know me. I just need a place to rest. And maybe find a tea shop somewhere.
