So I've noticed that most of my Japanese language music is quite rather old. The newest CD I've bought is Ultra Blue by Utada Hikaru. My favorite artists are Utada Hikaru, Hamasaki Ayumi, BoA, Speed, TM Revolution. Just a ( Read more... )

Well, I'll be borrowing SG1 from serenegarden so I can watch the whole thing, not just the few random things I've seen. This way I can fully understand the obsession of many around me.

What should I be taking notes on exactly?

Well, any romantic interactions between Sam and Jack, if you'd like. Just a brief note of what they do and what episode it it. Anything will help in my weird project here, thanks!

for the japanese music, really depends on what kind of bands you like in general...there are quite a lot of good ones and a few not so good ones. personally, i've a long list...but try l'arc en ciel if you haven't. their stuff is really good.

It seems I'm more into Jpop and sort of Japanese alternative. I do have some L'Arc en Ciel. Some of them I like, some I don't. Thanks!

I generally listen to a lot of jrock and by the looks of it, you're more the jpop scene

buuut if you're interested, Orange Range, AKFG (they did the Naruto opening for so long), Baby VOX Re.V...but they're Korean

Same thing with Hiyoori (but she is just so damn cute)

Want some J-Dramas? I've got a few.

Lemme know

Cool, thanks for the links. I do love Korean music, too. I can't remember what Korean bands I was into. They're all on cassette tape back at my parents. Old schoo, yo.

Thanks for the suggestions!

So I went searching for some of those Korean bands I liked and found some!
I liked Sechs Kies the best. I also like Fin.K.L, S.E.S, and some of H.O.T.

I get my J-Pop in sprinklings from random people and/or anime. I don't have artist loyalties, much current music, or knowledge of the J-pop scene, but here are a few songs I like. Maybe you'll like them, too!

Crazy Ken Band - aka Bayside Motors
Crazy Ken Band - Almond Jerry
Nomiya Maki - Starstruck
Paprika Soundtrack - The Girl in Byakkoya - White Tiger Field
Wolf and Spice Ending - Rocky Chack - Ringo Hiyori

I took a look at my collection of Japanese music to see what you might enjoy. Here are some artist/groups: Ulfuls, Sambo Master, Ami Suzuki. There are more, but I have not gotten around to labeling the tracks on my iTunes.

Ami Suzuki is so upbeat, I listen to her when I need to feel energetic. Have you ever seen her music videos? Soooo weird, but so amusing.
