Well, when I read the prompt, I knew that's what I wanted to do. I was actually at work when the idea struck me. (Hurray for slow days! :D)

This was beautiful darling. like louiselux said, it gives a lot of insight in the characters. I love to see how Sanzo looks at the others and how much insight he hides behind a gruff demeanor. Specially liked the bit about Gojyo.

Well, I was thinking about the prompt, and that's what struck me. The idea of Sanzo wondering what life would be like without the rest of them, and then that's when the phrase "hindsight is 20/20" came to mind. ^____^

The Gojyo bit was actually my favorite part. I'm glad you liked it.

And I do think that Sanzo would think about these kinds of things on occasion...because we all know his life would be lonely and miserable without the other three to keep him company. ^__~

Very sweet, and nice to read something thoughtful from Sanzo's POV. I do find it interesting that he thinks here about how Hakkai and Goku might relate to him, Sanzo, but thinks of Gojyo in terms of Hakkai, almost. :)

Well, the way it came out that way was because I was playing off the idea that Hakkai and Goku have a direct link to Sanzo...really, Gojyo wouldn't have met him if it had not been for the whole mess with Gonou. Hakkai has his perceived debt to Sanzo, and in a sense, I think Goku does as well. So, that's where I was going with it. Not that Sanzo loves Gojyo any less than the others, na? ^__~

And besides, we know Gojyo would be hopeless without Hakkai around to take care of him and remind him when the trash is supposed to be taken out. :D
