Wow. That was stunning. I loved how you had him in disbelief up until she smiled THAT smile, the one that says I'm terrified. Poor Hakkai. So much angst. Lovely...!

Oh, gosh! All that emphasis on the smiling and "I'm so happy!" You really have to wonder what happened to her, since she's the spitting image of Gonou after he transformed into Hakkai. There's something so unsettling about this, but also very good.

Y'know, sharpeslass gave me the prompt and the first thing that popped into my head was some chick sipping tea, and wearing that smile, the creepy one she has when she's sticking a knife into herself.
