No, in fact it's been half the Saiyuki_time comm, so you're not alone! I'm really worried about the lack or originality of this. On the other hand, it's surprising and interesting to see what each of us think about it, the coincidences and differences in the scents we have related to them.

I'm glad you liked the fic ^^. Assigning scents to people is nice, as it is assigning colours, seasons, or any other quality to them. I tend to do that a lot. I love playing the "if it was...?" game (is that a popular game in English, too?). Hmmm... I'm starting to digress. Anyway, thank you very much for your comment.

You say that this idea isn't very original, but you took a very original turn on it. Personally, I think seeing different people's perspectives on the way they smell is kind of cool.

I really like your Goku's summations in this, and I love the tie-ins with their personalities and how they interact with one another. I just think it worked so well.

This piece made me feel all warm and fuzzy, and I really wanted to hug Goku. *laughs* Thank you!

Actually, I thought more people would use Goku, who would seem (on the surface of it) to be the most instinctual and sense-driven of the four. So I'm happy to see yours. And it's kind-of intriguing that we've gotten such unexpected consensus, both on the ikkou's respective scents and the reassurance they give.

I especially liked the way you drew out the combination of scents and let that lead to Goku's wistful imaginings. Very nice.

Thank you for the reassurance. My first thought when I read your ficlet was "Damn, now everybody is going to think I've shamelessly copied this". It's stunning how we fans have sometimes the same point of view of things. Maybe it's Minekura's talent to influence people's views without outright telling what we should see. Who knows.

I really loved Gojyo's description of Goku's smell in your fic. The inorganic scent fits really well with what Seiten Taisen really is and where he came from.

It was in those occasions that Goku would really wish to know how would the sun smell if he mixed a little with rich soils, monkeys or Gokus in general.

That line sums up how sweet and endearing (you've put that word in my head now!) Goku is - as well as strangely perceptive. The last line was gorgeous, and felt like slipping the final piece of a puzzle into place :)

Yes, I tend to think that Goku is more clever and perceptive that people give him credit for. It's just that his way of seeing things is different, no less. Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
