Hakkai sat on the couch in the dark. Gojyo had gone to the inn earlier. He thought that he’d been staring at his hands for almost an hour now. Or maybe it’s just for a minute. He didn’t know, more correctly, he didn’t care.

He lifted his hands to his nose. He smelled his fingers, and then he smelled his palms. He could smell the dishwasher soap

That's really sweet! You know why I like it, too, is because it's something Goku would do (e.g. the marker on Hakkai's hand). It's almost like he learned it from Goku, or Goku's rubbing off on him! And that last part was just pure love. Adorable!

I liked this very much. Hakkai's dilemma and Gojyo's solution. :)

I don't know if you did this on purpose, but an herbalist would tell you that garlic is (among many other things) a 'blood purifier'. So it gave it just that little extra touch for me. :)

thanks for sharing that information. i didn't know that. lots of my country's dishes has garlics in it so i sort of focused on the smell, not the real medicinal properties. no wonder mom forced me to eat garlic. (^_^)
