That was...just wow. It sent a chill through me and it gave me goosebumps! It was a great story, but when I read it out loud to myself it was positively awesome. It's got a great rhythm, and the imagery you invoke is...awesome.
It does give a strong feeling of Sanzo's misery and also a sense of fear. It's very sad, and I think the last line is important in balancing that. It says to me that Koumyou also gave him inner strength, as well as the bad memories.
Poetic and haunting - I loved Sanzo's dream sequence and it's outside-of-time lyrical feel, because it felt very IC. I also like the sun metaphors you effortlessly weaved in there - well done!
