That was...just wow. It sent a chill through me and it gave me goosebumps! It was a great story, but when I read it out loud to myself it was positively awesome. It's got a great rhythm, and the imagery you invoke is...awesome.

^___^ Good job! ♥

Thank you so much! I was trying to create something more visual than my usual style, so I'm glad the imagery worked.
Thanks for reading XD

Poor Sanzo. That's really touching, in an omigod-I-didn't-mean-that-awful-pun way. Very beautiful, and heartbreaking.

It does give a strong feeling of Sanzo's misery and also a sense of fear. It's very sad, and I think the last line is important in balancing that. It says to me that Koumyou also gave him inner strength, as well as the bad memories.

Thanks! That's exactly what I was aiming for with the last line :)

Poetic and haunting - I loved Sanzo's dream sequence and it's outside-of-time lyrical feel, because it felt very IC. I also like the sun metaphors you effortlessly weaved in there - well done!

Thank you! Saiyuki is great for metaphors! There's so much imagery to work with-light and dark, sun and moon, etc.
