This is really sweet. I love the image of Hakkai gently teaching Gojyo how to cook (and protecting him from the nasty spitting frying pan). Gojyo is just so cute!

Yes, Gojyo is cute. He's my favourite character and I always pour more love in him. I'm glad you liked it ^^.

Tender is the first word that springs to mind! I've gone all gooey now - these two do gentle so well! The description is lovely, and both the humor and the softness really work well with the description. You really nailed their characters, too! ^___^

Wounded characters have something, a special vulnerability that makes them prone to have really tender moments. There's always the fear (on my part) of overdoing it and turn a story into a puddle of sap, but I'm glad you thought they were in character and I didn't fuck up. Thanks for the comment ^^.

Gorgeous. From the gentle hands to the kiss as a natural extension of Hakkai's protective gestures. A wonderful scene of domestic bliss.

Thank you *bows*. Gojyo and Hakkai are, because of the canon facts of them living together and their own roles in the house, good material for domestic fics. I'm glad you liked it.

Awww, so sweet. This has a lovely gentle feel to it, and Gojyo's cooking experiments are adorable.

Even if I try to avoid reading sappy fics, I think I'm unable to write anything but. One of the paradoxes of life. This is one of the ways I see them, caring for each other in the little things. Gojyo's cooking experiments are based on my own, to be honest. I still throw the food from a safe distance or use a plate.

I really like the idea of Hakkai teaching Gojyo how to cook, because food = love for so many of us, and definitely for these guys. And Hakkai taking the chance to hold his hands over Gojyo's ... love! This had a very warm, sweet, tender feeling.

(One thing I will say: I think you mean "vegetables" and not "groceries" here, because in English, groceries can also include all sorts of dry stores like flour, sugar, etc., and more recently, also things in cans, boxed cereals, and so on. So the mental picture that goes with dropping handfuls of groceries in the pan gets a little weird.)

I tend to think it in reverse. Not as much of Hakkai taking the chance to hold his hands over Gojyo's as Gojyo taking the chance to have his hands held. But the spirit and the warmth is the same.

(Thank you for the explanation. To be honest, it's kind of fun to imagine Gojyo tossing a pack of flour (wrapping and all) in the pan, but well, it wasn't exactly what I was trying to write... so thank you very much for your words. I'll edit the fic for future posting when I have the time.)
