This is just perfect! (Pre-series Sanzo and Goku, my favorite...) I especially love the comparison to Koumyou; it was unexpected and wonderful.

Very sweet, and nice descriptions of the cold, so nice the reader can feel it. Sanzo dropping the flower reminds me of the movie and Go Dougan; people brightening at little half-hearted gifts from Sanzo. And Sanzo wondering about what Goku knows-- great touch.

(Sanzo was right-- I think snowdrops do come back on their own. But not those exact ones, I guess.)

Mmmm, the comparison between Goku and Koumyou is my favourite bit, because I can picture exactly how that look would fit on Goku's face, and it makes him seem almost Buddha-like...
