This is gorgeous. Sad and hopeful at the same time, which is perfect for these two.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I was half convinced that everyone and their aunt would think this was just horribly sappy or something... ^^' I'm glad you liked it!

Wow - :( Poor Gojyo. I certainly hope he finds the joy soon of having let those 'weeds' grown there. A lot of the times the plants we try to pull up or toss aside are some of the best medicines. Dandelion, blackberry, plantago (known as plantain around here - but that brings up the banana looking fruit in wiki), minors' lettuce, chickweed, nettles...even the sticky grass that name escapes me at the moment.

Hey, that's interesting, I hadn't thought of weeds from that perspective at all while writing this. An annoying weed that turns out to be just the medicine you need, right? Intriguing! Thanks!

This was very nice! You took one of my all-time favorite Gojyo + Hakkai moments in the manga and expanded on it and made it something gorgeous. Great job! I especially liked the description of the apple tree and that little snip of dialogue there.

Thank you so much! That scene in the manga is actually something which I originally had very mixed feelings about, but which I've grown (hee!) to like for its complexity and all that restrained emotion.

That's lovely. It's really interesting how those two have "grown" together, isn't it? I like the metaphor, it works well for them.

They have, haven't they! They can never be separated. (Okay, can, and it would be heartbreaking. Sob.) I'm glad you liked this, thanks for the comment!
