April Birthday Party

Apr 22, 2013 07:19

So! Apparently it's been decided by a few of our enthusiastic April offspring that a proper celebration is appropriate for those among us who are having birthdays this month, and I've chosen to help make it happen. In other words, the school shall be having a birthday party for everyone with an April birthdate...yes, all of them. Even the ones ( Read more... )

As you wish. It's not mandatory at all. Just something the others wanted.

Y'know, I'm not an April baby, but that ain't a bad idea. Having one celebration for all the birthdays that month...

Maybe there should be one every month, so nobody's left out (unless they wanna be).

I had been considering that. Since trying to do individual birthdays for everyone would end up getting rather pricey if we make this a regular thing, doing something monthly would probably work a lot better. Everyone is still free to do their own thing with friends if they wish, but the school can congratulate all of you born during the month on a specified date.

My old part-time job used to do that. They had a party on the 15th of every month to celebrate all the birthdays and work-anniversaries of the staff. It wasn't much, usually, not more than the managers bringing in a cake for the morning shift and one for night shift, but everybody always looked forward to it.

Well, I'm hoping to leave things a bit more up in the air when it comes to a specific date for things at the moment, and I'd prefer keeping staff anniversaries and the like separate as it's rather different. Plus I'm sure the lot of you don't want us adding our "I've been putting up with these kids for this many years now" nonsense to matters when it's supposed to be a party for everyone. I'm hoping for more than just to bring out a cake with each of these celebrations, though.

Do you require assistance, Sensei?

[OOC: Oh, have they been introduced yet, do you think? She could finance the party, or help with the cooking. :)]

If you would like to help, then yes, it would be much appreciated.

[OOC: I would imagine so, since he's been there for 8 years now. ^^; Looks like he's going to have enough helpers in the kitchen, so handling the financing would be nice.]

I would love to help, but since I'm... not feeling that well, I'll just fund it? Anything to take my mind off things. Do you have a date for the party yet?

[OOC: Strikes deleted, small font to Saitou only. *kicks brain* Gotcha, gotcha. She has to be more familiar and friendly then. And just tell her what you need and you shall have them. \o/ A redhead is one of the celebrants after all. She's rather fond of them. :D]

Wonderful~☆ That's perfectly fine and more than enough. I wouldn't want you trying to overwork yourself if you're not feeling well. I still need to finish making a list of everything that we have to get, but once I'm done I'll let you know what we need. Unless something comes up to change plans, it looks like Sunday would be the best time to hold it.

I like this idea, sensei! If you need any help, I am willing to volunteer outside of the Language Club meetings.

Thank you for offering, Ryou-kun. I do appreciate it. The two of you can help us with either cooking, set up, or taking up the task of gathering everyone for the celebration once we've gotten everything ready.
