Loooong weekend! My daughter had her baby Friday night. He is absolutely beautiful!! Lots of black hair and beautiful olive skin. I think his eyes will be grey like my daughter's. Long evening. My daughter went into the hospital having labor pains. They kept her there until 11:00 p.m. and decided to send her home on sleeping pills to let her get some rest because she wasn't making progress. I went to the hospital yesterday with my daughter to check out the maternity ward. It's nice considering that our hospital was just built this year. Surely better than the old one. There are only 2 labor rooms in the ward. I don't think this poses a problem for the fact of how small our town is. It's very unlikely that more than 2 women would be ( Read more... )

Yesterday I noticed a lump on my daughter's neck and took her into the clinic today. I was there for 3 or so hours and they didn't know what to think of it and so they gave her an x-ray, drew blood for a thyroid screne, and called a nose and thoat specialist. Today is the start of the Praise-athon on the Christian radio station. It's been uplifting to hear what people are praising about. We got a used car the other day. It seems to be a good running car. We needed to get one that would get better gas mileage. My husband drives 30 miles a day to get to work and back and with the high gas prices, and a car that doesn't get good gas mileage... well, it ends up making a big difference in our finances ( Read more... )

My daughter and her husband got into a 2 bedroom apartment for lower income a couple days ago. They are not allowed pets, but she happens to have 2 cats and 5 baby kittens. She is saddened that she has to find a home for the cats since she raised the 2 adult cats from kittens. She has to find homes for them because she can't pass up the good deal ( Read more... )
