Okay, like Shirota Yu will be playing in Samurai Seventeen as well? Seriously, isn't that guy already grown out of the age of high school dramas? Do. Not. Want. It's so weird, cos when Shirota Yuu was in Tenimyu he was the BEST, he was so much fun. But even then, though he was so cool in the backstage stuff, his character was the stoic, straight-faced type, haha. Maybe that's all he can do...

I think I actually liked him in Tenimyu more than I've liked him in any of his other stuff.

Me too - same as his buddies, Yamapi and even Jin used to be way more fun back in those days... Wow, 2005 is quite a long time ago in Johnnys years!

I greatly dislike Shirota and I have no clue why. He's never actually done anything to warrant my burning disgust for him. :(

Exactly! He could be a totally awesome guy, but there's just something that bugs me eternally about him. Maybe it's his awkward height or something, idk. XD

He creeps me out (I'm so glad I can say this here, his fans tend to be a bit aggressive -- like all, really). I don't remember what drama made me feel so, but it started with one alright.

Kudos on mentioning Yamapi! He once said how his role in Nobuta wasn't what he's used to, the cool/stoic/handsome boy in dramas, but it was still a role that came out naturally (as in, he didn't have to pout and act all mysteriously hot, I guess). And boy, you're much better off those roles.

i don't quite agree with you, I think Shirotan was very good in Rookies. At times I was really scared of him. He is not my fave actor, but I wouldn't say he has only one expression.

That's so strange, because I think it was Rookies where I really noticed his expressionlessness (is that even a word? D:).

But I suppose there are as many opinions as there are people, lol! :D

ah maybe i know him a tad longer, so i differentiate more :P I am not a big fan, nor do I think he is supertalented or something, but i've seen worse in japanese industry.
