Yelling at them isn't going to do anything.

[Rachel is sitting in a chair. Her own bubble is full of musical notes. They arrange themselves into scores to dictate her feelings. Only Kurt can translate, seriously.]

Because being alone on Valentine's Day isn't pleasant, especially when you have someone you could be with.

[She closes her book and crosses her arms, watching him.]

Besides, Arthur is nice. You could be friends.

It's a day, just like any other day. If you need a day to remind you of who you're with, then you're an idiot.

Everyday should be like that.

Every day is like that.

[Without hesitation or doubt -- Rachel makes whoever she is with realize, every single day, that they are together, after all.]

It's just a day to celebrate it, that's all.

It's a stupid thing. -=He gets up with a grunt, heading towards the stairs.=-

To commemorate a single day that's supposed to represent a lifetime.

That's very romantic and naive of you.

It's practical.

Thinking that love lasts forever isn't practical at all.

[But that's definitely a cue that he doesn't want to stick around and talk, so Rachel shrugs a little.]

-=Looks back one moment more.=-

It doesn't. The only thing that lasts forever is the Flow and that Balance it maintains.

-=Off to his room he'll now go~=-

[Rachel... doesn't believe that. For a moment. But hearing it reaffirms the impermanence of both this world and her own.

Love, she supposes, doesn't last forever for some people. But for others, she believes they were meant to be. Like Finn.

So, it's with a sigh that she settles back into her chair. Her music notes are drooping, out-of-tune, and most definitely flat.]
