NaNoWriMo

Oh, god. Somebody please, please, please tell me not to sign up for NaNoWriMo.

No matter if I've been wanting to do it for the last five years or so. No matter if this is the first time I've actually remembered before November, and felt confident enough in my writing ability to even seriously consider attempting it. No matter if I think it'll be ( Read more... )

Hah, thank you. Very good points all around. I'll probably manage to restrain myself. Probably. Okay, maybe. Possibly. There's a chance.

*sigh* I have no self-control.

It's highly overrated.

There's always a next November. Maybe you'll have less work load then. Try to be reasonable. At least try for an appropriate amount of time (a few days), and if you still can't resist, go for it. IMO. ♥

You and your logic. Yes, that all makes perfect sense, and is really what I should do. Whether or not I have the willpower remains to be seen, though. I mean, reasonable? Me? Thanks a lot though, at any rate. :)

There's lots of alternatives to NaNo... luminare_ardua October 12 2010, 11:10:20 UTC
Here from FF.Net (Sefiriot there) because of that piece of "West of the Moon" fanart which I found reading reviews of said fic (because I am weird that way). Nicely done, and Chekov looks so cute (though him hugging himself is strangely out of place because there's no rain: on the other hand he's so thin in the pic you'd think he was gonna be cold anyway due to lack of body fat); I am envious of anyone who can actually get a drawing done, nevermind all the tiny things like getting proportions correct. I have 0 ability with art except abstract patterns ( ... )

Oh, yay, I'm glad you like it. And I'm also one of those people who reads reviews. . . I dunno. They're strangely fascinating.

And thanks so, so much for the NaNo tips -- I'll definitely check out those other options.
