So glad that someone on my LJ friends list is writing stuff inspired by The Last of Us! Is this going to draw extensively from the premise of the game, or are you going elsewhere with it?

This verse is inspired by The Last of Us, but insofar as I know of the game's plot, the events of my original verse takes human survival after the apocalypse in a different direction simply because there's different characters with different motives involved. Like in the game, I make use of survivor's colonies and militant groups of enforcers, along with legions of Infected outside of the boundaries of the colonies, but that's pretty much where the similarities end.

I haven't spoiled myself completely in terms of the game so I'm mostly coming up with my own ideas. Anyway, thanks for commenting! I know you're not part of writerverse, but it's good to get feedback outside of that. :D

Ah that's cool, there's a lot of scope in the concept of an infection-based apocalypse. :)

I haven't played the game myself yet, but I've been watching my husband play through it. Put it this way - I've never heard him scream so much!

I've seen the writerverse LJ, but I'm not sure if it's something I'd join... I write a lot, but it's generally very long things. I wouldn't even know how to write a drabble, or flash fiction! But I like to read other people's fics on Livejournal, whatever the subject. :)

Indeed there is. I'm glad your husband appears to be enjoying the game, lol.

Writerverse is definitely not for everyone, so it's perfectly understandable. And thanks for commenting on what I write! :D
