I lurk your journal and get alerts every time you update on GW. Why? Because you are so right on. I'll spare you my point-by-point agreement.
Just sayin': Everyone was lookin DAMN FINE in this episode, and I had to rewind to make sure I'd seen the hair adjusting gesture. So not typical. So brilliant. Also, I'm glad Kalinda wasn't drinking milk again. That was weird. Who drinks a big glass of milk around the office?
Let's be friends? I need for Good Wife/K&A fans in my life.
Hello!! Lmao, the milk. It was such a 'let's give Kalinda a quirk!' thing, as opposed to 'let's let Kalinda act like a normal human being!'. Not that I don't enjoy milk ;) Mo well, whatever helps her fight crime in her Boots of Asskickery, I guess!
Friended! There needs to be more Alicia/Kalinda fans in the world!
well... she can't drink gin martinis, tequila shots or whatever it was she was drinking in that bar scene at the office, now can she? I think coffee would have been too predictable and tea too 'girly' so milk is just fine because exactly NOBODY drinks milk at the office, making Kalinda yet again unique, surprising and mysterious... what a great character!!
Awww thank you! I have a definite Kalinda-bias in these recaps ;)
But how can I not! She is so bloody amazing. She did EVERYTHING in this episode, and doesn't even get a thank you. It's funny that no matter how much Peter or whoever tell Alicia they care for her, it is always Kalinda who's actually protecting her, yet without any fanfare. You know she'd go to the ends of the earth for Alicia (and practically has), but she'd never tell her!
I was just reading the comments over at EW, and was so disappointed that instead of being all 'Kalinda kicks ass' they were all 'Will and Cary looked so HAWWWWT', but then I read your comment and it MADE MY DAY. I hope the showrunners are listening ;)
I think Alicia could be drinking vodka, straight (shame ;)) As for Kalinda, I'm not too sure... it kinda looks like a Screaming Orgasm but it could just be wishful thinking :D lol
This post has really nicely illustrated why this show is so fantastic. I didn't even think of the long way Alicia and grandma Florrick had come, I just saw it and thought it was a nice moment for two people who have been warily circling each other for months. That's some excellent character development, right there.
AND KALINDA. MY HEART. I wonder if she asked Alicia to stay away because she didn't want Alicia to see her testimony, or if it would be harder for her seeing Alicia in the room?
I love this new dynamic between Jackie and Alicia. They've been through so much together, except now just as they've found the perfect balance, Peter is coming home. I think it will be really hilarious if Jackie starts to take Alicia's side in matters at home. I can just imagine Peter expecting his Mum to coddle him, and instead she'll be all "Alicia works so hard for you!" "You should be so lucky to have her!". Hehe, I can hope
( ... )
Yay!! And yes, we need to spread the Alicia/Kalinda love! I'm so glad that after 14 episodes the chemistry between them is only getting stronger. Love this show!
I love that the only thing that gets to Kalinda is Alicia. She's fierce, so to see her being all nervous is such a shock!
She does looks so devilish!!! Gawd I love her. I hope Alicia realises what Kalinda did for her. I would have killed for another scene of the two of them at the end, but I guess the whole 'Peter's home!' thing made for a nice cliffhanger.
Alicia sure didn't look like she wanted him home. The way she downed that drink at the bar gave even Kalinda pause! lol
I disagree that Kalinda was nervous though... I think it was part of the act. They way she fidgeted at the beginning, the way she played the ingenue with absolutely no agenda ("but... I've been asked to reply in my own words), the nervous gasp when Childs is mean to her... that was all for the audience's sake. She switched to the 'well... who got f*cked, now, you or me?' look at the end with Childs... it's just too Kalinda.
