Part of becoming a better writer is understanding other writers.
I've decided to make a little investigation of not just one, but this whole family full of writers (poets, novelists) and also painters. Very famous I must say, though the true heroines in this story are three of them: Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë and Anne Brontë. I must say I'm ( Read more... )

The Brontë family is to be admired. Yes their lives were hard, but think, if it hadn't we wouldn't have had those books. Like Val said, celebrate a life. I'm glad to see you looking into farther generations. Our times are filled with wonderful writers, but like musicians, painters and other artist we can't thrive if our roots don't go deeper. Keep up the reading, you have only just begun. Go farther; reach for Swift, Goethe, Flaubert, the Shelley's Cervantes, Tapia-Rivera, Boccaccio, and the list goes on. Read your favourite authors influences, go and explore the literary inheritance they have left you. I'm leaving before I babble. Keep them alive in your readings, for that is immortality.

Hahaha! I love you, Terry! :) You really are an inspiring character and I'm very glad I met you! I will keep on reading, you don't have to mention it twice! :P I'm actually looking forward on searching more about them and making theories (I have a few of my own just now) I know I'm only just beggining. I'm considering making it my long life's project as you have dedicated your own to the Dodgsons. I also wanna read Jane Austen and I'm thinking Virgil...it caught my attention, I saw the name cause the Brontës siblings liked him, I think he was one of the sorce of inspiration for them to create their imaginary worlds in their juvenilia...ah! Also my other fave family, The Romanovs, I really wanna get to know them too...celebrating lives, like Vally said :P Long live inmortality!
