Saw Madonna last night at the Scottrade in St. Louis. Though the seats were far away, It was fun. Probably be my first and last time seeing her. She did a lot of her newer songs which I don't like as much as her eighties music. And I didn't like how she revamped some of her older songs with a different tempo. Is what the nurses say about my uncle. It's been exactly one week now since we found him collapsed and called 911 to have him rushed by ambulance to the hospital. We though he was having a stoke. CT and MRI scans, however, showed blood pooling and clotting inside his skull due to several minor head injuries he sustained over the past couple of ( Read more... )

I would be happier that it's Friday if I didn't have to come in for overtime tomorrow. But I'm looking forward to after work. Going out of town with friends to trivia night put together by another friend's parents. Prize drawings, silent auctions, and free food. I wish it were Saturday night already!

Hate it when a light goes on in the dashboard telling me to get my car checked. Apparently my car is telling me my coolant fluid is low which is bull since I just took it in a couple weeks ago to get that system flushed.

I'm done packing! I always feel so accomplished since it seems to take forever as I dither on what to bring. But it's over now and we'll leave early tomorrow for Branson. Despite the heat, I'm looking forward to it since most of the activities I want to do are checking out museums and shows which will be indoors and air conditioned.

So glad to be done with work for the day. Had a fun weening going out with the girls and watching Moonrise Kingdom which I loved. I think it was the best new movie I've seen in the theater this year. I was cracking up the entire time. Who doesn't love to
laugh?

With temps in the triple digits I hope I survive the Taste of Downtown Springfield tonight. Gonna hang with some gal pals and sample yummy goodies that will likely either be heavy on the fried side or meaty.

Truthfully, I'd pass if I hadn't already promised I'd go and everyone else wasn't so gung-ho about it. I'll need to remember my sunblock!
