UGHHH JUST RELEASE THE PILOT SO WE CAN HAVE OUR 17 MINUTES OF BLISS/MOCKERY, PLEASE.
It's doing no good just sitting somewhere rotting away, untouched.
We are talking about comedic gold here. Come on.

XD This!

Although, rights aside, that's probably a big reason why they wouldn't release it. . .

Much as "Sweet Valley High" meets "She-Ra" is not my idea of "Sailor Moon",I would like to see the entire 17-minute ep.

It will probably never be released due to the rights issue. Saban doesn't/didn't own the rights to the US release. DiC had already purchased the US release rights, and I believe Toei owns the Japanese animation rights, Bandai owns toys and distibution/merch rights, and Kodansha has the publication/manga rights. Tokyopop HAD the US manga publication rights, but recently Kodansha retracted all publication ties with Tokyopop. I'm assuming Kodansha will be looking into distributing their own comics thru a Kodansha USA or a new distributor. Unless, I'm mistaken, the rights still lie with those groups. But usually the red tape alone will keep it in an archive. XD;;; And as no one will approve that pilot to be made? It, thankfully, will never be seen.
