The Mainstream Media Finds Otakon!

The New Jersey corruption scandal? Yeah, I'm pretty ashamed of my home state right now.

Anyway, on a more cheerful note, here's the Baltimore Sun's coverage of Otakon, complete with a video of cosplayer interviews. The writer seems a bit baffled by the fan culture, but I've seen far worse.

Unfortunately, the Allen wasn't either of us. ~_^

The scandal involved a LOT of New York and New Jersey politicians being rounded up in a massive corruption sting. There were some rabbis involved, too, including one who was trying to sell organ transplants on the black market. It was pretty horrifying.

Yeah, but it was still a good one! I don't recall seeing him - but then again, I couldn't see much of anything for most of the con. :P

...Hoo boy. That's ridiculous. But I guess not highly unexpected... power corrupts, ne?
