Whatever Happened to Fandom Wank?

Is it just me, or has Fandom Wank been very quiet and dull lately? Really, the only thing making a major splash has been the Harry Potter Lexicon case (and in days of old, they would have split that off into its own community, since it's monopolizing the main group). I don't know if this is a good sign that fandom is taking more responsibility for
