Dude, based on those figures you're slinging around, you could probably buy an empty lot or a patch of countryside, and build your own house.
Granted, it would be one of those mini-houses [not a tiny house, but not quite full size]... but seriously, ~800sqft is enough for most people. I've seen those priced out around 20-30 thousand. [and that's dollars.]
The question is, do you want to build your own place.. or would that be tempting fate. [although, I'd bet you lost weight doing it.]
You've got a pension that counts as monthly income... how come it isn't being counted? Also, any chance of finding someone to sub-let? Maybe something silly like AirBnB?
