My stove is finally back on! \o/ Too bad I had already eaten when we finally got the pilots lit. -_- But I can make stove food tomorrow for dinner. (DID YOU HEAR ME, KAYE'S PARENTS AND MY DAD? THE EVENING MEAL IS DINNER.) And the pilot for my big stove (not the burners) finally got relit too. It's been off for so long that I can't even remember how ( Read more... )

I found Paris tolerable in this I think only because I've seen "House of Wax" and.... seriously dude. Even if you're heinously bored and it's on FX and you have a lot of cleaning to do. Just... don't do it.

After new ep high wore off and thinking on it a little more before I passed out last night, I have to say I only found it okay too. I think I was expecting more from the brothers' first case after the angst-fest they've had then random monster celeb cameos. Also didn't help the ep followed "The End" which was so very good in a deliciously angsty way. Also the lack of Cas made me *sadface*, but then 5.01/02 prove even just a few minutes and he practically steals the whole damn ep. This had to be about the brothers, so I understand his absence.

That's a good way to put it; Paris was tolerable in this ep. That's pretty much it. :D

I missed Cas too! I kept going, "The scene just got really quiet. Is Castiel popping up in a second? Yoohoooo, Caaaaas?" :( He's spoiled me for additional characters who are just too awesome not to be on every episode.

"How are you getting around--an ark?"

LMFAO!! You are too funny!! Be glad you're not here--it SNOWED here yesterday in Aurora! And it was 28* when we woke up this morning!!And supposed to get MORE snow tomorrow. The only good thing is that it had been in the 70's here before that--so it didn't stick or accumulate.Ahhh---good ol' Colorado!!
About the 'dinner' comment.....When I lived in NC and was working as a nurse in a nursing home,I had an old southern woman ask me one morning, not long after breakfast, when DINNER was.I told her that she just had breakfast and that dinner wasn't until around 5pm.She told me dinner was uaually served around noon and I told her that that was LUNCH.She said it was DINNER and that SUPPER was served in the evening.I laughed because I had to remember who I was talking to and where I was and apparently, some southerners call lunch 'dinner',and I had actually heard of that long before, but wasn't remembering it in that moment. :D
Glad you resolved your 'skeetcap' issue!!

And I complain when it gets down in the 40's. :D

My dad was the same way; when I said we were having dinner, sometimes he'd tease me and say we were having supper, dinner was the noon meal. I'd bicker with him over it because it was fun. "You can have supper, I'm having dinner. If you'd rather have dinner for lunch, I can wrap it up for you." It's a regional and age thing.

I'll comment more detailedly at some later point, but yeah... there's a hiatus coming, from what I've heard. After the next episode. Don't know how long it will be and why it will happen. Not even sure if it's just a rumour or real, because I only saw fans talking about it without naming a source. But epguides don't list any episodes further than 5.06, either, so it's likely to be true.

On one of the Wiki pages, they list titles up to episode ten. Titles that I've seen elsewhere. Of course, that doesn't mean there won't be a hiatus soon. It's too early for a hiatus, but there's nothing we can do about it. Waaah!

Here's one page with episode titles. It does look like there will be a hiatus after next week's ep. :( Probably until November. They have to come back for November sweeps!

The only thing I didn't get is why Dean needed to take a rubbing of the car's numbers. Couldn't he just write them down?

Yeah, that confused me, too. I guess it was supposed to be darker under there. Hence Sam asking about the flashlight. But still. Maybe Dean just liked to cop a feel with the ladies, as always. Hehe.

At least it wasn't another fucking shapeshifter.

LOL, that is so true.

When are they going to reference one of Jensen's past works and have Dean react?

Yeah, man. I mean, Devour was too much of a flop than for it to be mentioned, but Jensen was on Dark Angel and Dawson's Creek. Just imagine the hillarity a simple barcode might bring? Or a raised brow at somebody's horrible hair-do...

Awww. :) I wuv me some loving Dean looking after his Sammy.

*nods* And how awesome is it that Dean gets that Sam needs to grow up, huh? Half of the fandom doesn't get it. LOL.

Another great part: When Dean put on Abe's hatThat was such an awesome scene. not only because Dean was hillarious and Sam was funnily annoyed. But on top of ( ... )

Yep, they could definitely make a DA or DC ref, or even a "Blonde" ref would be good! :D Something only the fans would understand. They could rib Jensen something good for "Blonde"! XD ( ... )

They could make Dean wear a Kimono. And have Sam say, "Dude, for a second there I was expecting you to start dancing."

Yeah, the good old monster of the week eps. I'm glad we're getting some of those lately. Even this Thurday's episode kinda had a good old Se01 feel to it. Despite the angel-demon relation of the kid. They still had the superawesome toothfairy. OMG, I loved him, hee.

Aww. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

Yes, and only those of us who have viewed all of Jensen's work would know why it was funny! A little fandom private joke can be fun now and then. The "House of Wax" ref was pretty much a fandom private joke because you have to be a SPN superfan to know Jared's acting portfolio (as well as Jensen's).

I forgot about the Tooth Fairy. He was very funny, especially the kid's drawing of him. Makes you wonder why his adoptive father described the Tooth Fairy that way. XD
