Did you get commissions/bonuses/overtime? They may basing the amount on your base 40-hour wages.

Nope. No commission, no bonuses, no significant overtime. This just appears to be how Texas does it, at least around here. I just got back in touch with my friend Nancy, and she was laid off in November, and her unemployment is the same way - 50% of her regular wages. I want to live wherever this magical 80% exists, 'cause I can live on that. :)
